Amazingly I feel I may have a tip for you. I needed to bend 28mm copper pipe for my overly complicated multi fuel source heating system with buffer tanks. Being tight and poor a 28 mm bender was no an option however a steam train enthusiast gave me a simple tip. Use a spring bender but anneal the copper first. The formation into tubing has work hardened it. It worked like a charm. Still tough but doable by a skinny lanky man like myself. Sometime several heats per bend were required and I used a big propane touch off our kitchen cylinders.

Phenomenal build! I would likewise have been very proud to see only one minor pinhole leak in all of those joints!

Made a very nice spud gun using a network of 22mm pipe as the reservoir - ran at 100 PSI no problem, so don't think any pressures you are likely to create would cause any danger.

If one of the valves needs to be always open to avoid overpressure when the heating element is running... May I suggest taking one of the wheels off of its valve to stop it from accidental closure?

Very good idea. Have been planning to do that for a while, but your comment may just nudge me to actually do it! Thanks :D

Excellent job😎 PS I've put H2O underfloor heating in my bungalow (kitchen & bathroom) and love it. Warm tootsies.

I used 50/50 solder for my large non-potable project and it made everything much easier (low melting temp).

amazing video! i don't understand how you get the water not just shortcutting through the lower horzontal rails. how does it get worm in the top? just convection and thermal flow through the copper?
@FloweringElbow10 сағат бұрын
Yes that. I was a little concerned about that myself before testing it in practice. I guess the flow of hot water is up... It heats up very uniformly though :)

The lack of a pressure relief valve in an element-heated system is a bit dodgy. but only a bit!
