Probably a few reasons. Unless they enable ghosting for those cars I can already see the videos of AI taking each other, or the player out while trying to do it, or hitting the safety car. Then there's the issue of 25/50% races where you can already argue they get warped more by a Safety Car due to how long it stays out. So if you have a car or two that got lapped early due to contact causing a spin/damage you'd end up burning up a much larger percentage of the race. That, and you also have to factor in how many use the Safety Car in their saves/lobbies. So the option might end up only making sense in a 100% race, at which point it ends up quite far down the priority list for Codemasters.

I feel your pain on not being able to finish. I replaced my engine and all components before Australia since Jeddha was coming up and I wanted a nice fresher piece going into it, and of course 5 laps to go at Australia and got the famous words from Jeff and had to retire. Didn't want any grid penalties going into Jeddha, but we'll see what happens starting g from the back.

You played in Imola, because the Red Bull Ring wasn't in the game; so you made a poll on Twitter and Imola won. Imola wasn't even in the calendar, so you had to play in single race mode and so that's way you played as Pastor Maldonado. P.S. you won that race starting from P13 on the grid

Ben, I've told this to Tom as well: deactivate these reliability failures. They're badly implemented in terms of RNG by Codemasters. Until Codemasters decides to fix the RNG for these failures, I strongly suggest to deactivate them, or try to see if it's a bit better with full damage instead of sim damage.

So, when you had that brake issue last season in (mainly) the Russian gp. Did you run really soft suspension like this? I've had the same issue of the car sliding away mid-corner but that was because I had no stability on such soft suspension. It's really not good for aerodynamics and you don't really need it on most tracks to absorb bumps, I'd do my suspension juist 3-4 clicks stiffer if I were you. It worked for me and maybe it will (apart from the brake problem) also make you faster. Maybe you can try it sometime.

summery of 22 races season (100% races )6 engine failures DNFs and 1engine issue that cost me 2 seconds per lap using Mercedes engine and my team has the best reliability;/ but overall it adds to the excitement of the game.
