my theory with the AI being so good in S3 and beyond is Teams start upgrading their Personnel so every AI is eventually 95+ with the stat and focus upgrades, during a driver career i left Aston in season 3 with a maxed out spec 2 car for Merc and they did no upgrades through the whole season but still finished 3rd in the championship with Sainz and Gasly as drivers, their car was about tied 6th on the R&D index behind Mclaren RB Merc Ferrari Alpine and Williams. it was kinda hype not gonna lie

Yeah I did 3 seasons at McLaren, then moved to Ferrari and in that season when I was at Ferrari, McLaren dominated. Mercedes were nowhere, Hamilton retired.

I'm all for you doing Live Comm's for this career mode Ben. I think it makes the series more real and intense and if it saves time in post production so you can pump out a few more regularly that can only be a good thing. Great to see another Career mode Upload!

The retirement from ai is something that I've noticed more recently in the 2021 game. I've seen and had a few collisions where it sometimes looked like they only lost parts of the front wing, they pit and go out for one lap and then retire the car. My guess is that the impact sometimes damages their engine or other vital parts making the game feel more realistic in that aspect. Even a bump to the side can be enough to DNF them after either a few seconds or a couple of laps after the incident.

In my opinion i belive it an ai driver hits a nother ai's front wheel and it doesn't come off i might think its suspension damage

@@lazyfawn4121 Yes the ai can damage each other too and I'm certain suspension is one of them. I do think it's often connected to suspension damage when they bump into each other but there are times when it seems to be other issues on the car. I do play with simulation damage which also plays a factor into some of the dnfs.

I’m pretty sure Lewis somehow got his pit limiter turned on and couldn’t get it off cus it was 2nd gear at 80kph which is the same as the Barcelona pit lane speed and it had those flashing white light which signify if the pit limiters on I believe. I have had this bug on my my team save but only when ai leave the pit lane and they fix it after a sector or something so this is weird

Its so adorable catching up on his MyTeam experience. It's like he only just, in this episode, came to the realization, that shunts, bumps and collisions in general can cause anything from minor mechanical faults to critical mechanical faults. Funnily enough, a fair number of his engine failures happened after he had rougher collisions. Running through debris can also cause the chance of having a fault to rise. basicallu its the collision damage system in F1 2022, but in its infancy, so you could say its the first true attempt in 2021. Sim damage actually matters now! so it makes clean racing and awareness, racecraft more prominent.

If you do the race programme you can't underfuel, it works it out for you, go like .5 over, if you sim the race programme you can put your fuel on the lowest (if you have the upgrades)

I have seen this happen to me once before, and I have seen TWICE at Mexico cars getting stuck in 2nd gear coming out of the pits and retiring for some reason too

That's different, it happens when a flashback is used as any car changes gear and there is a chance a car coming out of the pits gets stuck in gear. I've seen it happen at Mexico, imola, baku and Spain before.

Theoy: Codies was going to add suspension damage to 2021 with the new revised damage model but decided not to, the game may have detected the contact at the right moment. The game had a moment and thought he had critical suspension damage (similar to Hill and Schumi in Australia) then decided to stop Hamilton's car.
