CAN WE FREEZE IT? Fresh Cherries?

Freeze fresh CHERRIES*
---------------------------------------------------------
Wash the cherries to be frozen.
Remove the pits. I used an OXO cherry pitter.
This pitter can be found at Target, Amazon or the OXO website.
Place washed berries on a parchment lined baking sheet or pan so they are not touching. Freeze for at least 4-5 hours OR overnight.
Place the frozen berries in a freezer bag and place in the freezer for use later.
That's it!
* All other berries (the includes strawberries, raspberries, grapes, blackberries, etc.) can be frozen this SAME WAY. With strawberries, remove the caps after washing and before freezing.

My objective for this channel is to share with others what I have learned over the last 30+ years about living and eating healthier. I share my knowledge with my small circle of friends all the time. I am not a doctor, nor do I hold any type of medical degree, but I believe that my tried experiences may help someone else.
For over 30 years I have used every diet imaginable to lose weight, but I confess that I am now at home using the vegan lifestyle. I want to share what I have learned about eating and enjoying food. And, since I am still learning how to be more consistent with this lifestyle, I have decided to eat more healthily, realizing the weight will come off eventually. Though I have not reached my goal weight, I know that sharing with other people in front of a camera with help me to stay on course.
I have, with the help of my husband of 37 years, raised 3 grown children. I will also share some cooking shortcuts as well as some natural formulas I have used and still use for everyday problems.

The only thing I did differently was find a Progressive "prep works' cherry pitter on Amazon that does 6 at a time. I was careful to count pits as I worked. I hate to bite into a pit while enjoying a piece of pie. Love your videos.

Frozen cherries can be used like ice cubes to cool a summer drink without watering it down eg cool a glass of wine with a couple of frozen cherries.

Okay, we do live in a parallel world! You grew up on a farm, hoping I remembered right, we own a farm😂 my husband grew up there! 4 room house on a cotton farm that he worked as a child, still has his cotton bag from his childhood! But, now the serious dinner discussion, what do I plant in my tiny 10x5 garden? I want collards, lettuce, onions, garlic, sweet potatoes.......he wants tomatoes, do you see the problem? I've been researching how to grow sweet potatoes and potatoes in a small space because I want to grow them, too (wouldn't you know it?). Did you know you could grow them in a barrel or trash can? I am going to try it. Let him grow his tomatoes (btw, I love tomatoes and tomato sandwiches; I've eaten them all my life--just a side note) and you can put your sweet potatoes in a barrel and grow a little bit of the other things, too. You can, Gloria. But, if you want them to freeze separately so you can use 3 or 5 or 10 cherries that you don't have to pry apart, place them carefully in the bag and lay the bag FLAT until the cherries freeze. I think that will work for you. You do understand that the cherries do NOT STAY on the baking sheet? You just use it to freeze and then transfer them into a bag to use later. Let me know if I have made that clear for you...okay? 🤔🍒

Hi Berta I never knew they made a cherry pitter. What do you use your cherries for? I tis 97 degrees here this afternoon on thi s sweltering Tuesday & would you believe Betra I have the oven on for a roast beef dinner. I will have a batch of sweet corn ,fresh sliced tomatoes ,mashed potatoes, gravy & Mom made homemade pickled cabbage she makes the best.
