What made it obvious for me is his basic positioning on where to peek and timing on when to either engage or disengage He also kept standing in the open without actually taking the space, just taking damage hoping the enemy wont hit him As a tank, it is crucial for you to either eat up space so they cant do stuff freely or to eat up corners or a choke point, but he did neither of that

It’s pretty easy to tell when there’s a tank gap. If everyone’s stats are all collectively bad, then it’s more than likely because the tank isn’t creating any space. The perfect example would be that kings row game. Everyone on his team had bad stats because he created 0 space.

If dps do bad then tank can’t make space, if supports do bad nobody can play the game. All roles effect other roles, a lot of the time for example if both of your dps are doing bad, it’s probably not their fault and actually a support diff or a Smurf or a cheater

@@GK-bt6fr While 100% true if the DPS is doing bad than the tank will still have a lot of kill/damage if the supports are good but if Tanks are bad then NO ONE is doing anything because there is no place to do anything

Like if you’re widow and you have 0 headshots and it’s been two minutes, it’s not cause you’re not getting healed I promise lmao. Each role has a role, even DPS. If they aren’t doing it, then it is noticeable. Some are just more noticeable than others like the tank.

@@GK-bt6fr True to a certain extent, you need to make it possible for support to be support, if tank's not poking their backline, or protect in the frontline, supports are free fire for the other team. It's more of a symbiose, and if one piece falls, the rest falls too.

Not always, as a support main on my first account I am hardstuck in bronze 3-5, I am carrying my team so hard, and still lose. For example I had 31 eliminations and 4 deaths, to 13.5k heal and 10k dps, and still lost. Made a new account and went plat 4 instantly, and now close to plat 2, and I feel like that is where I belong seen to my skill level. On my first account I can smurf around, but as a support I still won't be enough to win due to the rest of the team being too bad. So I guess, maybeI can solo carry bronze as support when I get to diamond skill level on my second account, to get out from bronze.

I don't think always, but most of the players can improve things to not depend on their team. Of course there are days where you just get hard trolled, but most of the time (when people don't throw intentiaonally) we can do something about it.

if the plat isn't spotted then they APPEAR to perform at the same level as everyone else. Not to boost ego's but if you can pass in a rank then you could probably learn to climb.

He also never gave his supports almost a full tank hp heal for ult charge, he'd go into spawn to heal, You can also hear his team KINDA hold his hand and tell him where to be in a few spots on kings row.

SPOILER: I already knew in game 1 when he was just getting shredded by the bastion. As a tank and especially reinhardt you gotta know how to bait turret form early and use corners. Yet he kept sitting passively around a corner, let bastion get around the corner and turret form him and he kept getting caught with no cover in the open.

People in higher ranks always say that it's you, not your team, you need to play more and you will rank up. It feels like they've forgotten how it was in lower ranks. For example I never played OW1, and started now when OW2 was released, chose to main support and Illari as a one trick, my aim sucked ofc, did my 50qp, got silver 3, deranked in 2 days to bronze 5, and was stuck there for 6 weeks, then in 2 days I ranked up to silver 3, and was there for a week, until I deranked to bronze 3. Haven't I gotten any better? Or is it my team? I made a new account, got platinum 4 after my 50 qp, and after 1 week I am close to platinum 2. Still one trick pony Illari, and my accuracy on both primary and secondary are never below 40% on average. Went back to my first account as bronze 3, I can pretty much smurf around, but still lose. One game I had 31 eliminations and 4 deaths, 13.5k heal and 10k dps, accurace on primary 65% and 51% on secondary, and still lost the game. So I guess being 3 ranks higher (platinum 3) on my second account isn't enough in skill level to hard carry in bronze 3, at least not as support. I am not saying I deserve diamond or master, I think that platinum 2-4 where my second account is, is where I am at in skill level, but I am still unable to rank up from bronze 3 on my first account.

@@mfpmf tbh that's just copium. My account was almost triple digit and now it's Masters. Did it take time? Yes, but I have never stopped using that account as my main. I have alts sure, but I still slowly but surely climbed my main account almost 2800SR through thick and thin. I did even get stuck in a couple ranks for months (gold to plat, plat to diamond) while I learned to improve my skillset to get to move to the next rank.

People in higher ranks say that shit because they obviously understand what it takes to climb. They are all playing with randoms just like everyone else, yet they're climbing and other people are self-proclaimed "hardstuck." I guess they're just getting super lucky and always have good teammates. Or they actually are just better than the rank they're in and they climb out of it by doing the things that win them games. If you're genuinely smurfing as Illari, you should be getting 1-2 picks on out of position players easily a fight by yourself and that should be enough to win 90% of your games.

@@Chooopy people in higher ranks do unranked to gm and they get placed way higher and its easier to rank up as a new account. older accounts get stuck for a while and can do the same thing but only move 1 sub division. so much extra effort

Watch that again. The other Reinhardt threw 2 firstrikes as well and got a kill on the Mei. 2 fire strikes are actually really good on chokes as it's usually where you might get the most value out of them since everyone is stacked together so you can hit multiple people with 1 firestike. Also by the time the teamfight is towards the end you will have at least 1 fire stike more to finish targets or apply pressure to backline.

What astonished me is that in the kings row game all of the masters players just grouped up in main and played WW1 simulator. Everyone line up and walk slowly towards the machine guns! The full masters team only won because they had the bigger machine gun. Near the end of the defence where one of the plat tank’s DPS went Genji and decided to try actually attacking the back line they had a considerable improvement in their performance. Mostly though it was like watching a Bronze game with better mechanics.

Top comment is so true if your whole team is getting doffed then it’s almost always the tanks fault. If 1 dog and 2 support or vice versa are doing bad then it’s their own fault. Literally I went as zen with a terrible tank and our team constantly died and the tank was pissed for not being healed when he was frontlining Winston vs a bastion. I went against him the next game with a better tank and we team diffed.

That would be incredibly difficult with a 2 rank difference. The advantage to the teams knowing is that if the lower player is lacking, then the other players can knowingly makeup for that. Every rank requires a minimum level of performance and if everyone is not at that minimum the entire team suffers unless they can pre-plan for it.

Higher ranks actually only shoot the tank as soon as they extend to try to make a play, so you’ll be chilling and try to make a play then get shot at by 5 people
