It's clear tanks are the most broken in the game. Diva can dive you and you die in seconds. You get pulled by hog and it's over. I'm not sure why overwatch makes the tanks damage so high

the reason tanks sturggle is because of support cooldowns yes but mainly because of the amount of things they have ti do and the little value they get from it. not to mention that they are the focus for cc and as little as one bio nade will completely shut them down. 5 supports vs 5 tanks means nothing because it isnt a competitive environment and tanks have the OBVIOUS advantage with all their cc and health pools but in a competitive enviroment with even teams, support dominates (im a support main btw)

Same in WoW mythic+. Healers get shit on. I remember this one dps screamed at the healer for not interrupting more. The healer was a priest, which obviously has no interrupts to use to begin with. As long as there are healers, there will be mouth-breathing damage players to stand in fire and blame someone else for it.

@@AustinBurt-hw4dc Nah, someone made a whole Excel spreadsheet and the results came out that the amount of Top 500 players who could achieve T500 on all roles and which role they mained. The results were around this: DPS players: 200 Tank players: 50 Support players: 12 It kind of just showed that DPS just have skills that can translate to other roles, it also proved the difficulty of the roles DPS>Tank>>>Support. An example is someone like Dafran who mains DPS but still outskills most T500 support players. Rare cases are like GaleAdelaide who mains support but still has the aim to also play DPS in T500. Also support GM atm is almost the same as putting diamonds, plats, golds and silvers all in the same game. The skill disparage among them is so wide and its another symptom of power creeping supports.

The people saying tanks are broken because of this need to understand that would be true *if there were 2 tanks on a team* but if you were to properly balance these fights to the actual game, it would be double the amount of supports to tank ratio, making it a 5v10. Then watch how fast tanks lose. Or if you really wanted to balance the 5v5, you would double the sup health and half their CDs. There's a reason there is only 1 tank now per team. They have ways of negating damage and have health for sustain (hence tank) but need damage to take/negate space. In normal OW, they aren't broken at all. You're not supposed to *win* a 1v1 against a tank majority of the time. It's what lets them do their job. If every hero could win that matchup, tanks would quite literally be useless

While it's not really fair to equate a tank hero equal to two non-tank heroes, there is some truth to the role being effectively significantly more than a single non-tank hero. The fact that the supports did so well is testament to how strong they are, even though they lost. I'm interested in seeing what that value ratio is. 2T v 3S. Is that balanced? 3v4? 4v5? 1 v 2 isn't dynamic enough. 3v5 looks like an easy support win.

Hes been nerfed twice in the last two patches, his damage isn’t really unfair but I think his total ammo should be reduced for his primary fire and healing. Otherwise I think hes balanced for having the longest total cooldown time and having a decent amount of skill required as well as having the largest support hitbox.

It's just that everytime some toxic DPS player always keep blaming supports when they're out of position and dies or if support is currently fighting against a flanking enemy. During that fight the supports obviously can't focus healing their team. Every time the DPS blames the supports. I get it. It's frustrating when some tik tok Moira is on your team and doesn't know what healing orb is or does nothing other than sucking the lives out of the enemies. And I'm not a support main or a DPS main I enjoy playing both roles. But there are situations in which the life of the supports is more important than the life of the DPS purely because they can keep the team alive. That's why I suggested playing with these rules because I want to prove the point why it's called support. I'm sure there are DPS players that support the statement that supports should be healbots and they maybe also think that Jay is serious about it. It would be actually a funny challenge. Supports are broken. This proves the argument everyone has been making about 6v6. It also why the dps got absolutely slaughtered. Tanks have shields, matrix, suck and other things. It doesn’t make tanks good unless you pair all of that together. I’m willing to bet if they had made it 1 tank/4 dps = 5 supports the supports would stomp. Tanks are designed to be played together since they were created for two tanks. You put all tank synergies together with high HP pools of course the tanks stomp. Supports being OP and 5 tanks winning can happen. The supports out damaged the tanks. Also to be fully honest I would put all the money I have that says 4 supports with 1 tank steam roll 5 tanks.

They needed a lucio tbh. Zen is too imobile so Ana sleep and nade became their win condition, especially for killing dive tanks (+ dax was craazy good on ana), but ana is also pretty imobile. Having lucio would've given respectable damage, with the benefit of removing one imobile target that the tanks focused down AND helping Ana be more mobile too, as well as keeping a strong counter to the tank ults. Instead of Tranq, beat lasts a little shorter but is slightly more versitile.

One big issue I see here is that console support player who was on bap. I feel like with tank it doesnt matter as much if you have console players since u can afk spam behind shields but so many supports are more aim intensive and controller just couldnt keep up.
