Another option is to use laser engravable sandblast stencil. Apply stencil filler to concrete, weed letters/artwork, sandblast with aluminum oxide or KinetiX 40/70 (half price of Al2O3). Paint can be applied if desired. Remove stencil, dissolve leftover filler with naphtha, and clean thoroughly.

I apologize! We did 100% and a speed of 200 if I remember well.

It took about 35 minutes to do the entire thing and we maxed out the size to as large as the machine allows which is about 17 inches by 17 inches

I had to watch this to see.. Im a Concrete inspector by trade and I have a k-40 laser as well.. So Concrete under direct heat will explode. its hte nature of the material. So im pretty amazed that you were able to do this with out it Cracking and poping out rocks.. Just like pop rocks. Im impressed to say the least. Great Job with the Laser..

Thanks so much!! Yes I learned that the hard way after welding next to concrete lol. Surprisingly we had no issues at all but the slab is also pretty thick too. :)

You forgot to mention that support for this item is trash. First of all, you cannot purchase spare parts such as certain cables, the x-axis adjuster, or even a laser module to use as a spare. My autofocus failed. which seems to be common for this model (google it), and support could not fix it. The flame detection failed and the laser continued to burn and did not return to the "home" location causing the laser head to melt. Atezr would only replace the laser head with a 5w laser and stated it would work on my machine. I'm still fighting with them to honor their warranty... 3 months later.

I'm so sorry to hear that! Hopefully this issue can get resolved. I haven't had any issues with my laser so far thankfully.
