"Nobody said they are people of hellfire." Omg this is sooo amazing. I know growing up, I was mislead into thinking we couldn't pray for the Kaafir either but this lecture is just a reminder of how merciful & loving out Creator is, SubhanAllah!! Jazakallahu Khairan for uploading :)~

prqurn Nice comment, but it's really not good to refer to them as Kaafir. A Kaafir in reality is someone who has heard the truth and knows the truth, but refuses to believe. Non-Muslims rarely fall into this category. It's best to think of them as "potential Muslims". Then it's much easier to dialogue with them while having kindness and compassion in your heart. If you think of all Non-Muslims as "kaafir", you're already judging them as damned, and already looking down upon them. As a convert, I find it really hurtful when Muslims refer to my Non-Muslim family members as Kaafir.

However, should there be, I think the most important part is so show love and kindness to each other. So I find it lovely that someone from a faith can care enough to pray and wish me well :D

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “The believers, men and women, are awliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another…” [al-Tawbah 9:71]. He also says of the kuffaar that they are “ but awliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) to one another…” [al-Maa’idah 5:51]. And He says (interpretation of the meaning): “…And if any amongst you takes them as awliya’, then surely he is one of them.” [al-Maa’idah 5:51]. Becoming members of their societies, joining their parties, increasing their numbers, taking their nationalities (except in cases of necessity), serving in their armies or helping to develop their weapons. Bringing their laws and rules to the Muslim countries. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Do they then seek the judgement of the Days of Ignorance?…” [al-Maa’idah 5:50] Taking them as friends in general terms, taking them as helpers and supporters, and throwing in one’s lot with them. Allaah forbids all this, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as awliya’ (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but awliya’ to one another…” [al-Maa’idah 5:51]. Compromising with them and being nice to them at the expense of one’s religion. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so that they (too) would compromise with you.” [al-Qalam 68:9]. This includes sitting with them and entering upon them at the time when they are making fun of the Signs of Allaah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And it has already been revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the Verses of Allaah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them), certainly in that case you would be like them…” [al-Nisa’ 4:140] Trusting them and taking them as advisors and consultants instead of the believers. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who believe! Take not as (your) bitaanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made clear to you the aayaat (proofs, evidence, verses), if you understand. Lo! You are the ones who love them but they love you not, and you believe in all the Scriptures [i.e., you believe in the Tawraat and the Injeel, while they disbelieve in your Book (the Qur’aan)]. And when they meet you, they say, ‘We believe.’ But when they are alone, they bite the tips of their fingers at you in rage. Say: ‘Perish in your rage. Certainly Allaah knows what is in the breasts (all the secrets).’ If a good befalls you, it grieves them, but some evil overtakes you, they rejoice at it…” [Aal ‘Imran 3:118-120].

What is the recommendation from the primary sources of Islam regarding praying for nonmuslims' maghfira after they die? My personal conjecture or prerogative is that it's fine to pray for their maghfira because as humans we can never be certain if anyone regardless of their faith can go to hell or heaven, and it's very patronizing to judge someone's level of belief. Besides that, i believe that even the most stern of nonmuslims might have done some deeds for which Allah (the most merciful) can reward them heaven, so in my opinion praying for a nonmuslim; mentioning their good deeds and praying for their deeds to be accepted is fine. Correct me if I'm wrong. Please mention any references from the sources of guidance.

I am a Muslim, and usually after prayer, my dua is always approached to others first before centering on myself. I make dua to the deceased first, regardless of religion. Either they were Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Atheist, it doesn't matter to me. There definitely are good and loving people from all religions so I would obviously pray for them, even when they are dead, I'd pray that may Allah grant them a very fair test and to give them the best possible place they could in Jannah. Do you really want someone like Mother Teresa (Who devoted her life to helping people) or Michael Jackson (Who was (and still is) loved by many) to suffer in Jahannam. Obviously a no because it's too disturbing for me to envision this and that all tributes made to them (E.g. "In Loving Memory" or "Rest in Peace", or whatever memorial video or statement made to them) would basically be pointless and amount to nothing. I can't bring myself to believe in it. So there you go. I pray for everyone, especially the dead, even if they weren't Muslim. They may not be given the highest place, but as Allah is all-loving and all-forgiving, I'm sure he will give non-believers a fair test and a good number will be given a place in Heaven.
@xass4387 жыл бұрын
Before you pray for the dead disbelievers that were a given a fair chance in this life and insisted in denying the existence of Allah all together or Allah being the only god. I think you need a fundamental knowledge in tye religion you believe in while you have the chance of being alive. Something to think about, where is the uncle of the prophet who was and will always be one of the best good doers among the disbelievers?

what is the case for those non muslims who are dead ?
@Leenia187 жыл бұрын
The case is solely up to Allah swt as far as i know tough allahuallam non muslim who didnt repent in there lifetime or didnt bother to come closer to the Truth are ishallah in Hell eternaly. There is the famous Case about the uncle of p.m (pbuh) where is uncle died without repenting/coming towards the true in his last moment but he helped p.m (pbuh) alot spreading the true about God which is why he is in the lightest form of hell but he still is in there eternaly if im right. Which is why a majority of humanity will be in Hell hopefully we wont be counted to them ishallah.

So you can't pray for non muslims who died?.. But what if a young child died who was born into a non muslim family or community? That child wouldn't have had any idea of religion or possibly even never heard about islam. Would such a child be in hell? This is very confusing to me... I hope someone could give me an answer to that, i sincerely want to believe that there would be a good answer to that because i'm interested in islam.
@almuntasaralhabsi25577 жыл бұрын
Hi :) I hope Allah eases your way to finding the truth and guides you with the best of guidance! From my brief research, many scholars adopt the view that children who die before reaching the age of puberty which is the age in which they start being held accou ntable, are admitted into paradise without any judgement. The evidence they state is the hadeeth of Samurah (may Allaah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw the children of the Muslims and the children of the Mushrikeen with Ibraaheem (peace be upon him). Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6640. However the majority view that they will be tested on the day of Judgement, and that this particularly applies to children who were born to non muslim families. They use this hadith as evidence: Anas said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Four (kinds of people) will be brought forth on the Day of Resurrection: the infant, the insane, the one who died during the Fatrah (the period between two prophets) and the very old man. All of them will speak in their own defence, then the Lord, may He be blessed and exalted, will say to a neck of Hell, ‘Come forth!’ and He will say to them, ‘I used to send Messengers to My slaves from amongst themselves. Now I am the Messenger of Myself to you. Enter this (i.e., the Fire).’ Those who are decreed to be among the doomed will say, ‘O Lord, how could we enter it when we are trying to escape it?’ And those who are decreed to be among the blessed will rush to enter it. And Allaah will say: ‘You would have been more disobedient towards My Messengers.’ So those will enter Paradise and those will enter Hell.” Narrated by Abu Ya’laa, 4224. There are corroborating reports which were mentioned by Ibn Katheer in al-Tafseer, 3/29-31. This is quite a big concept to grasp in a few words. Just remember Allah is most just and merciful and he will not oppress his slaves by an atom's weight, and everything will be brought to account on the day to an exact scale, without leaving anything out. No person worthy of reward shall miss their reward even by an atom's weight and no person deserving of hell will enter it; and Allah is most forgiving. I hope I answered your question a bit? Scholars and students of knowledge can provide a more clear explanation so try and find some in your area in islamic centres and so forth :)... otherwise they are quite a few trustworthy websites I particularly prefer islamweb.net islamqa.info and islamqa.org. but in person will of course be a lot better and save you from a lot of potential confusion the net can cause! Just always remember every answer in islam should come with the evidence from the Quran and Sunnah and it's correct interpretation and your good to go in shaa Allah. All the best and thanks if you've read this far :) My source (quite text heavy): islamqa.info/en/6496

can you guys imagine what a miracle would be if richard dawkins converts to islam one day, just wow, atheism would disappear once and forever only if he converted
@nahidhkurdi67407 жыл бұрын
Atheism will not disappear even though such a thing had happened. Interesting, thought, however. I had it three days earlier. To reach the same conclusion as me, just remember Anthony Flew, the well known atheist philosopher who became a deist almost at the end of his life. He then was described by the atheists crowd to have gone imbecile at the end of his life.

Saad Sheikh Yet we have stories of the Prophet's uncle, who helped the Prophet pbuh on his journey but yet too arrogant to accept Islam. It's a harsh truth, but deeds don't mean anything without the proper intention and belief. It's a bit flawed, no? You do good deeds to be rewarded by a god that you don't believe in?

Glory be to All Powerful and Merciful Most Blessed and Righteous God. He is Allah (Muslims), He is God, He is Yahweh (Jews), He is Brahman (Hindus), He is Jah Jah (Rasta Farian). Followers of Christ bear witness to 3 important facts concerning the Holy Spirit. 1. The Holy Anointed Prophet, Messiah, and Christ Jesus did come in the flesh. From the times of Moses a Holy Anointed Prophet of HIM was foretold of coming. Jesus Christ is that Holy Anointed Prophet. 2. Jesus Christ did resurrect 3 days after crucifixion. This shows that we to will resurrect. Some to eternal gloom and others to eternal happiness. 3. Jesus Christ did ascend to the Right Hand of Allah, to the Right Hand of Brahman, to the Right Hand of Jah Jah, to the Right Hand of Yahweh. This shows that we to will ascend to the Kingdom of Heaven if accounted worthy. Spirituality is knowledge of self, and using that knowledge for the glory of HIM; HIM being the Most Blessed and Righteous God. Jesus Christ my Lord, (Title given Him by the Most Blessed) understood His mission, and Followers of Christ bear witness to the fact that He fulfilled that mission. Now Jesus Christ gave 2 commandments. To Honor the Most Blessed God, I would say Father but it is impossible to understand this unless you have been born of the Holy Spirit. And to love our neighbor as much as ourselves. I respect you if you call HIM, Allah. You respect me if I call HIM, Jah Jah. And we respect they if they call HIM, Yahweh. Now we understand what the Christ meant when He taught that the Kingdom of Heaven is all around us. If none of this makes since as of right now, understand that the dajjal is on the verge of revealing himself. No one is claiming to know time or days, but God the Most Blessed is definitely drawing people to HIS Son. If you do not have the Holy Spirit you are part of the dajjal spirit, regardless of whether you realize it or not, because you deny that Jesus is the Christ and that He is the only way to Allah, to Brahman, to God, to Jah Jah, to HIM. Peace be with the eyes that stumble across this message. Glory be to God the Father, and praise be to Jesus Christ the Son.

Such a wonderful and correct interpretation of Qur'an and hadith. This brother has been blessed with with a beautiful mind. It sure is a shame, that I have been misled over the years by so-called Muslims who have insisted that one cannot pray for non-Muslims, especially for hidaya. If anyone is in need of extra hidaya, it is the so-called Muslims who try and stop others from praying for non-Muslims.
