I have a theory that Berdly will be in the church dark world if he is alive. He works with Ms. Boom presumably in the church. He has holy attacks and "Holy Halbird". His character arc isn't finished.

Very good point about eye symbolism in Deltarune. I remember seeing a post in my kirby thematic analysis circles that said something a long the lines of "What could be a better enemy of dreams than eyes wide open?" and i think there's definitely a case for that to be applicable here. great video as always

An idea I haven’t been able to get out of my head since first thinking about it is that Kris might not have known they could open a Dark Fountain until Queen said it. Queen: “Could Not Anyone Make A Dark Fountain?” Kris: “o sh*t, fr???”

YEAH, that's a big reason why I think Kris is a red herring rather than THE knight. The fact that Queen drew attention to the fact that any lightner could do it stood out, though you could argue the TV being plugged in meant they were already planning to. Or it could be that they (or Toriel) plugged it in now that they had a friend to hang out with.

Yeah, this is gonna be a substantial update, and I'm definitely gonna hide from social media until I finish the two chapters (though I will probably stream them on launch). I'm gonna have to plan in advance how to do this, so a precise release date will help a lot.

I know that I and many others are incredibly excited for Deltarune's release, but Im also scared. Eventually, Deltarune will be fully released, and theory videos predicting the future of Deltarune won't exist anymore. It's surreal

Im pretty sure ralsei isnt made out of anything physical but rather is made out of pure darkness and comes from the card fountain that isnt the one kris closes i 46:21 n ch1. Thats why ralsei doesnt turn into stone in ch2 since hes from a fountain that hasnt been closed while lancer and rouxls turns into stone cause THEIR card fountain has been closed

I really really believe that Toby Fox was inspired by game Alan Wake (2010-2011) because it's plot has MANY similarities to Deltarune. Just check the main themes of the AW (Darkness which makes fantasies real, writer and his book in the world where fantasies can become real, the lake and darkness behind it etc) and you will see it. I think we can predict some parts of Deltarune plot with it.

At first, Papyrus Knight was supposed to be a joke But damn, It would be so cool specially if taken seriously Not making Papyrus like the angsty undertale fan games, but rather taking a tool on a lonely side of him we San see sometimes, specially in some Neutraul endings! It becomes better if we take into consideration that we may know Papyrus but the Characters don’t, creating a cool interpretation that if we’re willing to doom a world because of attachment of something that’s already gone, using the themes of letting go and dealing with reality.

It really depends a lot on how Papyrus is written, if he turns out to be the knight. Toby is really capable of bringing out the most in his characters, and just like Asgore was built up as this imposing character at first, I could see the knight having a similar twist in that they're more complex than they initially appear.

I really hope we get more lancer screen time, maybe some lore for him, we only know there’s possibility of his family, we know king is lancers father, I don’t really like the idea of queen being lancers mother, I just believe she just made herself that role. If there is a possibility, I would like to see an interaction with Toriel and Lancer or something like that. Lancer is one of the best things about Deltarune, and I hope he gets more screen time in Futere chapters.

Man, nobody predicted that Noelle would be able to straight up kill Berdly, or that Spamton G Spamton would exist, and although Queen was foreshadowed, I think we all assumed she'd be like King but worse. We really don't know anything about the new chapters. We can predict some things, but we are completely in the dark about whatever Toby has planned.

Personally, I wouldn't count on it. While UTY is an impressive fanwork, I don't think it'd set a good precedent for Toby to canonize one specific fanwork over others. That's not to undermine what an amazing undertaking the game is, as it's a labor of love that really shines as an example of fan creativity.

When it comes to Asriel I think it would be really funny if it's just the finally to ed edd and Eddie, which would be quite funny... And also sad, but eh. As for like... Hopes for what we see. I honestly wanna see more Asgor, it's kinda weird that he's like... The only character who basically never gets to look good, he's kinda just the butt monkey, which feels kinda strange given everyone else gets points where they get to move past their past in some way. Finally seeing Pap would be nice though, mayhaps some better looks at Kris, he seems like a cool little dude when we aren't controlling him.

I absolutely would love to see some growth from Asgore. Chapter 2 put him in an awkward place, but I do think there's room for him to move past it, and I hope that's the route Toby takes, by setting him up like this so that he's challenged. It's worked well for Susie, Noelle, and Berdly so far.

Agreed. I'd also like to point out that, given the circumstances, we don't actually know what a normal Asgor looks like in this setting. You have to keep in mind that it's currently a week away from his oldest son coming back from college, someone he presumedly hasn't heard from or seen in years, so it's quite likely we're seeing a tuned up version of Asgor. Either way, I'd love to see a more quiet and introspective moment with him and an explanation of what happened. From what we see of him in undertale he is quite introspective and holds himself to a high standard, going so far as to make it impossible for you to not pass judgment on him in neutral runs because he doesn't feel he deserves mercy. Not saying the marriage gotta patch up or anything, but it's also be kinda weird if things stayed the way they are, with him incredibly unhappy and barely ever seeing his kids, and Toriel continuing to run away from and cover her eyes to all her problems.

What if Papyrus is the Knight, but is completely unaware of the consequences? We have Ralsei to explain it to us, but Papyrus may just not know that making new fountains is dangerous. Or someone is intentionally misleading him. Flowery manipulated him in Undertale, gathering all the monsters of the underground into one place, and since all of the returning characters have had the same personalities he's still likely very trusting of people he considers his friends. I feel like this solves the issue of why Papyrus would put everyone at risk by creating dark worlds, which I found to be a huge issue considering that he would never do that.
