@@eduardobenassi3072 I agree. I do think in its simplest form, when talking about the monster roster itself and not applying graphics or mechanics, that MH4’s base game roster would give wilds a run for its money. Which is why I want to make the bracket series in the first place.

I would love to see them; they just weren’t data leaked, so I didn’t cover them. Another person commented saying Shogun Ceanatar will return because Gravios is leaked. I could definitely see that being a possibility.

​@@navarrjenkinzHate to break it to you but there most likely will "only" be around 30 monsters in the base game. There has been alot of back and forth on this one among dataminers, but that seems to be the current consensus. From my understanding as to why they cane to that conclusiob is that the monster IDs don't support that. The last unkown ID_165, which some thought could have been the final boss turned out to be the training dummy. Past that there are no IDs or atleast non that could be large monsters. It's not entirely impossible that this is incomplete but I wouldn't expect more than 5 more monsters at max for the launch. If anything they seem to add more monstets per title update akin to Iceborne. We already know that 2 monsters are planned for TU 1.

keep in mind, they're working on the rise engine now, meaning any rise or sunbreak skeleton is fair game and way easier to implement, also I hope to god Seregios and Espinas are back they were so fun in rise. Also ever since Doshaguma was revealed I kept holding my breath for Goss Haraag. Also, I think the under reliance on elders is a good thing because world had such a bad roster variety the game devolves into dragon hunter by the end.

@@navarrjenkinz The skeleton setup is at least a good sign, Normal wyvern, bird wyvern, fanged wyvern (from iceborne), serpent (from rise), elder, fanged beast and now we have others from the trailers too.

My guess is that 34-35 monsters is what'll be present in the base game, at least for maximum. As for title updates, I see the game getting 8-9 more monsters being added post launch as we already know recent returners are being added later, and the team said they're focusing less on crossover monsters, and more on returning My guesses for the last few missing monsters are: .Shagaru Magala for obvious reasons. Now, we don’t know if he'll be joining the base game or not, but there’s a decent chance he is the rivaling apex of the Wounded Hollow next to FW Arkveld, which would be sick .Another monster for the Oilwell Basin, my hope/guess, is it's Shogun Ceanataur since Gravios is in the game, having the skulls make more sense, the Basin as we've seen has a segment with water in it, and his armor and skills would be really interesting to see in Wilds' new system .Brachydios for the Iceshard Cliffs, as while Gammoth would be an amazing returner, I think gameplay wise, Brachy or something of a similar tier needs to come back, and it's for one good reason. There is "potentially" only one blast monster in the entirety of Wilds as we know of, and it's Ajarakan. Now, he is a sick monster, and his weapons from what are shown from the leaks look great, but I do think we need a higher tier blast monster to be in the game. Also, he can fill more than one role as Brachydios has historically been known to live in both volcanic and snowy locales, making him a good monster to live in the Oilwell Basin and Iceshard Cliffs. But him showing up first in the Cliffs feels a bit more right due to location being more high-ranking and the general lack on monster known so far ."HR Final boss" (Maybe). For anyone who has been following the leaks, you'll know that Zotia is presumably the final boss of Low Rank and that Gore and the frenzy will be majorly important in the 2nd half. Now, while I do see this as a possibility with the final boss either being related to Gore and/or Shagaru in some way, or an actual "166" final boss, I do think a lot of people are missing the potential of Zotia not being what we first imagine it being, as a theory I have is that Zotia will pull a Nakarkos on us. Yes, the audio makes us believe we killed him, but 1. That very much could mean we assume he's dead but is actually faking it, or he comes back to life thanks to the frenzy of the Wyvern Torch, or... 2. We are jumping to conclusions with the ending of the story, as the dialogue could very much mean something else we don’t know about. In addition, I always found it odd that Zotia has such a massive HRP and Exp reward compared to every other monster in the files. If he's the final boss of LR, why is he giving the points of a HR final boss? But with all this said, it really could go one way or the other with him, as we really know little to nothing for the full context of Wilds Anyways, yeah, that's what I think. 34-35 monsters in total for the base game, and a little over 40 when including title updates in the mix. I do have a few extra monsters that I think could make it into Wilds, but I don’t see the roster being too massive. This game definitely feels like its more quality over quantity, even if both the quality and quantity is bound to be greater that all of World

I agree with the quality over quantity thing for sure. Zotia sounds like a very engaging final boss, as NPC’s in game talk about a massive bird-like monster. I personally think Brachy needs to be held off until MR, but that’s just me personally; i’ve never been the biggest fan of him. Raging Brachy is a different story, but I do not expect RB to return in wilds. I would love to talk more about more on this topic. Do you have discord? Possible additions to base game/TUs .Seltas & Seltas Queen, as we are missing big Neopterons, and a lot of us miss them. Plus, the Seltas Queen hammer is sick .Gammoth. The last of the Fated four not to have made a return in any of the 5th gen games. So it'd make sense for her to be brought back in Wilds .Monoblos. He makes perfect sense to be a sub-apex or rival apex of the Windward Plains. The only problem is that there are no cacti, which are the Blos's main source of food. So unless cacti are added into the full game, Monoblos unfortunately feels unlikely. But the chance is still there .Zamtrios. We love the balloon frog, and we'd love him in this game, too .Yian Garuga. Yian Kut Ku is here, Rathian is here, the game is Wilds, I'd say the psycho chicken has a good chance of coming back again .Espinas was brought back in Sunbreak, his second wind can come back here .Akantor and Ukanlos, since this game is less focused on Elder Dragons, having these two be the final update/penultimate update to Wilds' TUs feel right .Gogmazios. His status condition is in the game files. I dunno about you, but I'd say his chances are pretty good

@ I would absolutely love that, but I think they’re holding off on elders. After world: iceborne, I am naturally tired of the idea of elders. It just seemed like we fought them too early in a way. I want to feel like i’m truly climbing the ranks in this fictional world. But if we aren’t talking about immersion, Gog is the one elder I want in this base game.

For one, Nerscylla has been data leaked and so has Gypceros. A select group of people got to play wilds early in Japan, at a gaming convention. They said they were able to fight Gypceros and that his fight isn’t as annoying as it used to be. All of this is 3rd or 4th hand news, so I cannot, with 100% certainty, confirm it. However, I am fairly confident in it being the reality of the situation.

When you say "MH4 had 51 large monsters," do you mean MH4 Ultimate? Because I don't think base MH4 (only released in Japan) had 51 large monsters. Look I'd love for Wilds to have close to 51 monsters for a base game, but I think it's more realistic to think it will be around the 30's to high 30's.

Also base world had 31 and and base Rise had like 36 monsters. Kind of why I think base Wilds will be around 35-ish. Maybe it can hit 40 if we are really lucky, but I feel that's a tough one.

Ive started with Rise and sunbreak, and Im going to buy World and icebreak for my second mh game. Is it more or less difficult? Nice vid anyway though, Im totally on your side with loving the roster of this game.

World: Ireborne is definitely more difficult at its higher levels. In my opinion World: Iceborne makes Rise and Sunbreak look sad. Not saying the game you’ve been playing is bad; i’m just saying you have to play world: iceborne.

I have to disagree with the idea that World is much harder than Rise. In World, you have tools like the Rocksteady and Temporal mantles, which make things way easier, and the Clutch Claw is incredibly strong, to the point of being overpowered. You also have access to sticky bowgun builds, which are far less effective in Rise (huge nerf makes them irrelevant). Plus, when you reach Fatalis, you can use a Palico tool to craft his armor (hands down best armor in the game) without even beating it Mhw is easier than Rise. For context, I’m currently playing through Rise and was a former challenge runner in MHW: Iceborne, so this is coming from firsthand experience.

Yeah ngl this roster goes crazy. My only real criticism is the lack of any returning monsters that came from Rise (Like Akosnom or Goss Harag). Would love to see one of them return in a game like Wilds. (I don't want a lot returning from rise, just a single monster or two)

compared to world? yea this is the best base roster we have seen! yea worlds was pretty good but i feel like worlds base was kinda just bare bones and introducing new and old fans to new gen, giving us monsters that were cool but weren't too amazing looking. now with gen 6 releasing it feels like its a step up and round 2 with more stronger and better looking monsters in the base game. with the leaked monsters coming to wilds, omg man this game is gonna be amazing! never fought a lagiacrus or a gore magala but i know theyre gonna look so good in new gen!

I dont belive the leaked roster is true Some i can see getting in like gravios, nercylla and blangonga. But there are some monster that are just too out there for me to beleive. Like fulgur anjanath and ebony odogaron. Why has the subspecies but not the regular ones (i know they did that with crimwon glow valstrax, but that was a varient so I'm not counting it) We also just got gore and seregios, and a while i would enjoy seeing them again, i just don't feel like they have a place anywhere in wolrds (at least gore anyway) And they have l struggled trying to add lagiacrus sice world. Yes their technology is a whole lot better than it was in 2018, but lqgiacrus is also big, so it would possibly be clipping through things. Also we don't have a location the it would fit well it. The scarlet forest is too narrow for it and the clipping issue I mentioned already would be a major problem.

I mean you’re definitely welcome to believe this. All i’m doing is being the messenger, but again i’m not absolutely certain they’re true either. I will say with Lagiacrus, I disagree. For one, Balahara has a very similar body structure to Lagi and Balahara looks phenomenal. Secondly, there is a place for him to fit. There’s an entire area near the scarlet forest where you see the hunter fishing and swinging on some sort of vine with his clutch claw. I think Lagi will be there. Not to mention the entire lake you can see in that area, which to me looks like somewhere Lagi would swim. Seregios and Gore also have evidence to back up their return. It has been theorized that gore magala was once hunted and managed by an unknown species. People think that species was Arkveld. However, Arkveld/The White Wraith were hunted to extinction, causing Gore Magala to over populate. I could also see Seregios fitting perfectly into the windward planes. If you do not believe the leaked roster, what roster do you speculate will return?

Do you expect them to publicly verify every monster. Obviously these monsters are speculative, but there is enough evidence to back up the claims. Capcom isn’t going to keep the game at 16 monsters. Not only is 34 monsters reasonable, it’s actually not even the highest base game roster.
