Those Ford 1.0L Turbos are know for timing belt issues. Because it runs a wet belt with the timing belt in the oil, it degrades the rubber & it ends up in the oil pickup, blocks it & starves the engine of oil. 100% avoid that Focus!

Afaik, the belt degrades when you use the wrong oil. They need a very, very specific motor oil. Oh, the belt will also snap when degraded enough.

WALK TF AWAY from the focus!! There is a major TSB on that 3 cylinder ecoboost, they eat their timing belts as the timing belt drops inside the oil pan and causes it to disentegrate quickly, they also have really really bad coolant consumption problems with cracking heads and blocks

Randy leave the red Ford Focus alone! Here in the UK we call the 1.0 3 cylinder the ECOBOOM!!! They run a wet belt system that is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!

The Plate Pass is common on rentals. If you pay for that option, or just open it, it pays the tolls. Of course you'll get billed for it during the rental.

If you have never rode a Harley dresser, you really need to. To me they are not heavy like other dressers by Honda, Yamaha. I had a Sportster and I rode a friend's dresser,and in all honesty I could not tell a difference in the weight.

It seems that some people have a loan out on a car, get into an accident, their insurance wont cover it so they just walk away. I'm from Canada, and we just can't do that. If we owe money to the bank it has to be paid. Sell the car or what is left of it and you still have to pay the balance. No way around it.

The Focus and Escape, I think from 2013 up, came with the CVT automatic transmission. They're notorious for failure and last about 10,000 miles before they go bad again. My wife bought a brand new 2014 Focus. At 10k miles, it developed a shudder on acceleration. Ford rebuilt the transmission under warranty. At 20k, the same issues returned. Ford rebuilt it again. At 30k, it happened again. I asked the service manager if this was going to keep happening. His response? "Get rid of it".. Used 2014 Focus were selling for about $7000. Carvana offered us $10k. We sold it.

LMAO! They don't have a CVT transmission. The 12-19 Focus has a dual clutch 6 speed automatic. The 2013-2019 Escape has the GM/Ford 6F35 6 speed auto. The 2020 to current Escape has the newer 8 speed auto. There's no CVT's on those, everyone knows that. The dual clutch on the 2012-19 Focus, had problems.
