20:05 Unfortunately the electric sunflowers doesn't seem to create sunflower paste. So the centrifuge don't seem to do anything (you might have said it in the video, haven't watch it fully yet). Also, I have noticed that some buildings works on a longer range than others but it is not stated in the description. I found out that the mill works on a long distance (had 2 tiles from any wheat) while others demanded adjacency. According to the responses I had at the Steam forums for the game, it might be a bug. However if the centrifuge doesn't have range (I don't know how far the range is) it seems to kill the purpose of having no buildings close to sunflowers unless they intend to add "hauling trees" (or something similar...a plant that extends the range of other buildings for instance).

I think the idea is that normal sunflowers don’t usually produce paste. Turning the sunflowers into paste in a melter is a net neutral cost gain or loss, but then using the centrifuge from there is a gain. If you’re already making the paste, I don’t think it’s worth.

The sunflowers without a centrifuge produce (2 + 3) * 11 * 9 = 495 while with the centrifuge they produce 2 * 11* 27 = 594. They would be better without the centrifuge if there was no bonus from having four of a crop together, but because of that bonus the no structures bonus is less valuable.

Aye, Sunflowers are +3 not x3. In such case you can also add wells. I'm not 100% but I think their other buff works no matter what as well. Going for no structure sunflowers always felt like trying to force the stars to align, so being able to use them without that honestly makes life a lot easier. Only downside is a slightly worse easy watery tree spot.

It would be 2+3 with a centrifuge as well if you would use the range of it when you're placing it you can se that it can reach up to 3 islands upwards

I think what killed your first solid run there was the electric sunflowers. For whatever reason, they reverted to only producing sunflower seeds it looked like, so you went from getting paste which was seeds in a crusher to make crushed seeds then into a melter to make the paste back down to just seeds =/ really strange interaction.

well ya, because it said sunflows make sunflower paste. this game appears to be really pedantic about what applies to what. is that a good idea? hard to say, personally i think it kills synergies and therefore is less fun, but others may think differently. Edit: electric sunflowers, are not sunflowers to be clear. they are a TYPE of sunflower, but not specifically sunflowers

Yeah, the sunflower paste relic thing is interesting because it kinda just turns your sunflowers into an efficient form all on their own. I think the idea is like.. if you take a base sunflower and melt it, you lose the value BUT THEN the centrifuge gains you the value back and more. But your sunflowers are already producing paste without a nearby structure so it’s just better to probably keep it as a paste producer? Interesting

Always love these games, im just super lazy so here are a few QoL tips (keybinds) I found: 1. you can press 1-5 to quickly select one of your cards, I usually only use 1 & 2 2. Pressing space will proceed to the next day 3. Pressing E will open your inventory/shop (forgot what its called) 4. "f2" opens up a sort of command console and im not sure what to do with it yet. edit: You probably already know but you can click the magnifying glass above the next day to change the zoom of the world Hope these things helped!!! And keep up the awesome content, I love your videos!

If I was a content creator I’d do a fun video about this (but I am too scared to try) so here is my fun findings: You did carrots already, but carrots with the Easter Bunny card makes every large carrot produce chocolate bars. Got my rent up to 2.8 billion before it crashed. Happy holidays!

A method I've found that works well with sunflowers is to run them with blue wheat and a giant sunflower. The sunflowers boost the production of the blue wheat, and the energy from the blue wheat allows the giant sunflower to produce a lot. This method reduces the impact of nearby structures to almost nothing as the giant sunflower isn't affected.

It does mean you have to deal with the 3 cows and two fences being stuck in your deck the entire game... and sometimes you lose turn 3 just to not drawing enough of the wheat/wells.

@jasam01 Yeah, but so long as you don't get unlucky in the first 3 ish rounds (and don't place more Wells until you need them) then everything after is pretty smooth sailing - you can even make some of the better recipes without animals at all and there's the veganism buff

Hi Olexa! I've been working on some BGM tracks for the game, so at some point (December/January) we'll have a few different soundtracks cycling instead of the current 10-second loop. I think key is to make use of the centrifuge from different sides and increasing productivity of sunflowers to gett more paste. The restriction on them holds you bqck a lot. Hqving an equivalent removing the restriction can only be good.

Sunflowers are pretty broken, if played correctly - try making a checkerboard grid with sunflowers and blue wheat, and throw in a few watery trees, then put the giant sunflower somewhere else, with the centrifuge setup - bam, free money

fun fact, tofu is the most overpower thing in this game, can you make a farm with "soy" only thing? since soy need very expensive water, you can solve it with 1 watery tree per soy island or combined with 1 water well + 1 watery tree per soy island.

I love how the majority of people understand sunflowers wrong: you need to have two islands without buildings in adjacency with sunflowers for it to have the multiplier on production you can still have one/two islands with structures and sunflowers will still have their multiplier, as long as you have got three/four of the adjacent islands correct me if i'm not right

Sun flower is not bad but the sun flower paste perk is actively a scam where the price for one pace is still the same as seed so you kind need to refined it again to make vegetable oil. Kind of stupid kind of bad but it is what it is.
