Can wicked people be reborn in the Western Pure Land (GDD-781, Master Sheng-Yen)

Our last thoughts before death affect where we go thereafter. So rather than upsetting the
dying by crying, we should recite the Buddha's name and guide them with the Dharma.
With virtuous thoughts right before death, it is possible for a wicked person to be reborn
in the Western Pure Land. After achieving the state of liberation there, he comes back
to this world again to repay his debts, which is called fulfilling vows, by helping deliver
others.

Thank you so much for posting all of these videos of Master Sheng Yen dharma talks and answering these kinds of questions. I am very grateful to his teachings and he has inspired me to devote myself more and more into Buddhism practice and hope to make it to the Pure Land of Amida Buddha. May Master Sheng Yen have gone to the Pure Land!
