Incredible how the forts melt versus the Wraiths! And I didn't know that reducing the damage of a unit per card choice is also reducing the damage when it comes to abilities. That's a neat find!

I instantly put down 2-3 AA Marksmen or later ranged Melters when I see more than 2 teched Wraiths, lost too many rounds to them in my low MMRs - nice game!

Thanks! AA MM with EMP if they can connect really do smack them down. The sooner you can get Melters out the better your game will go because you really want to be shutting down wraiths from leveling. Vertical sledgehammers in front block the steel balls for a while too since the balls will wreck your melters.

Never picked steelballs and cralwers as starting cards. Tried it today after you said its a go to for you and im failing miserably :D also tried to fit in wraiths where i thought possible and it lead further downhill. Seems theres a learning curve ahead. This is at 1700-1800MMR :D [i love wraiths as idea but i think its super hard to make them work]

I'm the same, 1700-1800 MMR not an agro player and steel balls never seem to work for me. I think they need the levels so positioning is super important.

It takes some practice to learn aggro. You have to be able to have speed paired with chaff clear (this is why wraith is good to pair with the steel balls). Your goal is to take the towers. In order for the composition of wraith ball to work you will need levels on the wraith most importantly. Steel ball levels can be nice paired with items like heavy armor/portable shield, but it's the wraith levels that matter most.
