Council tax is nothing but government legalised racketeering.

I stopped paying it in 2008 its not difficult. I have never stepped into their fake courts and ignored their fake summonses. The worst they can do is send around debt collectors. There is no contract between me and them and I refuse to discuss the situation with them and tell them to get lost.

I have stopped paying as of 2022. They had the audacity to come at me with their fake liability order and fake Summons and I have never attended their "court" dates. Now they have contacted the DWP who has agreed to deduct payments towards Council tax "debts" without my consent. This is despite the fact that I am currently and for the foreseeable future on PIP. Any ideas what I should do in this predicament?

@@locksy2785 Writ to the head of the DWP and tell them you have the right not to consent to pay council tax and if they take money from your account that is theft and you will serve them with a tort for any losses you incur.

You need to threaten the DWP with breach of the data protection act .

Single people actually pay more than people living together. 25%, were as two people pay 50% each.

I don't pay because I'm not lawfully obligated and if you ask for a invoice they can't send one as that would result in me then asking for the contract obviously there's isn't one agreed on from me Best tax is no tax Never going to pay it or water charges etc

@@MoneyNerd yes I asked for a reduction, a benefit check, and a discount. But got nothing to help.
