That is incorrect advice. Resolvecall only work on behalf of their clients, they do not buy debts, they only act as collection agent. The accounts they chase are equitably assigned to them, which means they cannot take independent legal action against you.

Not particularly good advice. If they have a Controlled Goods Agreement (CGA) and you have defaulted on it, they can get a locksmith to gain entry BUT you can still prevent this by putting a bolt on every door. Remember they can NOT force their way in, so even if they get the door unlocked they will still be unable to gain entry. Hoewever, you have no legal obligation to sign a CGA so you should NEVER do so. In fact you have no legal obligation to even speak to them. you're better off not doing so; they will then pass the debt back to the council - they have no option to do anything else. They can only charge you once, not for repeated visits and there is a limit to how much they can charge. You can also refuse to deal with the bailiff as I did, you have no legal obligation to do so as the money is owed to the council, not the bailiff, when the action is taken for council tax arrears. Just tell them to go away and shut the door if you happen to open it and find a bailiff stood there. Pay the council ,even just a small amount and they won't do anything else if you can't afford to pay them any more because it's not going to get them anywhere, it makes no sense for them to try to take any further action of you are already paying as much as you can reasonably afford. But NEVER EVER deal with the bailiff.

My cousin is a vulnerable person with physical and mental health issues, i recently appealed to a tribunal court because the DWP stopped her benefit so I don't think it's a coincidence that a bailiff posted a removal notice letter with HM courts and tribunal written on it. Someone took advantage of my cousin about 10 years ago and ran up debts on her credit cards now she's hardly got enough money to survive on and is very scared that the bailiffs will increase the amount of one of debts that they posted the removal notice for today because she cannot afford to pay, will they increase the amount please.
