Gay people who commit themselves to Christ become the most phenomenal Christians. It's as if they just experience God's grace to such an extent that they are left breathless and completely committed. Thank you for this testimony.
@stevecarson4162 Жыл бұрын
What is "commit themselves to Christ" supposed to mean? Why would they do anything so deluded, when Jesus never said a single word against men loving men. Not one. But he said PLENTY to condemn heterosexuals who divorce and/or who marry a divorced person. It's clear which one he had the problem with! Yet somehow we don't see so-called Christians who are divorced suffering from guilt and trying to CHANGE. Funny how that works.... (And Jesus was the guy who never married and who spent all his time with other men he was always embracing and kissing, like my gay friends do. Now what could that MEAN?)

@@olaf9093 : It's always so pathetic to see Christians pointing to that ONE ANCIENT LINE in Leviticus, even as they ignore and sidestep everything ELSE it says, like not consuming shellfish or dead pigs. There's *an entire CHAPTER* on rules for keeping a kosher home. Does the Pope abide by them? Do you? And typically, when Christians obsess about Lev.20:13, in an attempt to justify their ignorance and bigotry, they ALWAYS close their eyes and skip over 20:10 which says all adulterers should be put to death. (Donald Trump is doomed....) And Jesus said a person who marries someone who has already been married is an adulterer. That kills off half the population of the U.S. And they ALSO skip over verse 9 before that, which says we should KILL all children who curse their parents. That would wipe out an entire generation of teenagers, if you didn't realize that. But we'd better get on that. Who is going to kill them? What do we do with all those corpses? There will be MILLIONS....... "No one is forcing you to believe." But they're constantly trying to get their own ignorant prejudices reflected in public policy and enshrined into law. @@chriswells89 We must be careful to interpret Psalm 137 in its historical context and apply it appropriately in connection with the full counsel of Scripture. It is a normal human desire to see justice done and for enemies to be defeated. However, Romans 12:17-19 commands, “Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.” Psalm 137 is not a selfish prayer for personal revenge. Like the Bible says to kill nonbelievers, this is not only against the law but it is against the Ten Commandments. So that is an example of the Bible contradicting itself, the truth is that law to kill nonbelievers was a law made by man. The Bible is kind of like a history book, it shows how societies use to behave. It also has laws on how to treat your slave, which is really horrific. But again, none of that has to do with the teachings of JEsus and Jesus never said anything about gay being a sin. Remember that JEsus is the one who forgave all of man's sin. That's why we are thankful for Jesus.

That's so true, i can really relate to that. I was born and raised a catholic, but then around the age of 17-18 i became an atheist, because i was so in love with the evolution theory. After watching and listening to other people's ridiculous opinions about our origins, I decided that there is no God. So i started denying God and had so many debates about that, trying to convince people that i was right(fact which i regret the most), even though i didn't have too many arguments nor proofs. I am from Romania, but I've been living in London, England since 2015 and about 4 years ago while i was riding my bike towards my home, i saw something on the road which seemed like an ipad/tablet and i stopped to see what it is, and realized that it was actually a book, with such a beautiful leather cover, with one word on it, Biblia(The Bible) and i was so astonished to see that it was written in romanian. After a few seconds of confusion i thought to myself, "what are the chances!?" I never thought it was a coincidence, but was instead a sign from God and a big wake up call for me. My faith was restored and i will never forget that day. Thank you for reading my story, God bless you all!

I'm not saying that all religious people are good, but most of them are, and just because some priests did bad or religion did some bad things in the past, doesn't mean it's all bad, only people are bad. wow...so let's talk sin. i don't think i've heard him say "i'm not gay anymore".... he says "i'm not living as a gay man anymore." this is so important!! Becket Cook is perfect...just how God made him. The fact that he lived in sin as a gay man is no longer relevant because he chose to love Jesus Christ more than his sin. God didn't take away the his "gayness," He filled him with His love and that blots out the lustful desire. Becket isn't "acting straight"... so as I said, let's talk sin. Are you living in sin? Are you lying, cheating, stealing, seeking lustful pleasures of any kind? How about cussing? The bible says when we have Christ in us, we will produce good fruits... using cuss words is not good fruits. I'm speaking to myself too... as I'm seeking Christ more and more I'm convicted not of my past but of the present still living in the past. When my mouth flies off at work, the HS convicts me because that is not what a Godly man should do or say. I encourage you men and women in Christ to proclaim the goodness of God and ask, and accept that He has made you a new creation. Be like Becket Cook and place your trust in Jesus 100%... study God's word and embed it in your heart. Be baptized as it is commanded...after 35 years I'm finally taking that step in 2 weeks. I'm ashamed to say I've let it go a "little too long." Be blessed in Jesus name!

Most of modern "Christianity" seems to massively disregard or underplay the power of regeneration by the Spirit of God. It's being birthed into the kingdom of God and becoming a new creation in Christ, as you mentioned. To God be the glory! Apart from being born again no one may see or enter the kingdom. Ezekiel prophesied of the new birth: "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Scripture Study Conclusion…No Law Against Love The rarity with which Paul discusses any form of same-sex behavior and the ambiguity in references attributed to him make it extremely unsound to conclude any sure position in the New Testament on homosexuality, especially in the context of loving, responsible relationships. Since any arguments must be made from silence, it is much more reliable to turn to great principles of the Gospel taught by Jesus Christ and the Apostles. Love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself. Do not judge others, lest you be judged. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is love . . . against such there is no law. One thing is abundantly clear, as Paul stated in Galatians 5:14: "…the whole Law is fulfilled in one statement, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself".

Jesus gives us new desires. I remember I had struggled with fornication and it was such a stronghold for me. And after awhile the holy spirit was convicting me and I didn't want to hurt Jesus. When you know that it is wrong and it hurts Jesus, the one who saved my soul, it just doesn't sit right in your spirit. And I told my boyfriend I'm not having sex with you anymore unless we get married. And he's okay with it, if he wasn't- Jesus comes first. And I believe that when I get married my marriage will be blessed because of that and also just surrending my will to God. He has so many better things in store than I could ever imagine. It hasn't been easy, but I just pray when I feel tempted, but it was the holy spirit that made me aware of that versus someone pressuring me or making me feel bad about my sin trying to make me turn away. The holy spirit over time was gentle, but also convicting.

I am amazed that you immediately recieved the holy spirit. The same change happened for my daughter while she was in high school. I think such a full transformation is rare. But all sin is the same in God's eye. Sex outside of marriage is a sin, yet many people just accept that is okay. When we find God we change bit by bit. We have to learn no lie is okay. Little by little we must start weeding our sin out. We all are sinners (and each of us have different sins) God is so good. ❤

Wow this is so inspiring to me literally. I’m a gay and I’m also a Christian. This is really making me change my life now and get closer to God. I was in a really bad point in life I did not know what to do because everyone would say “Being gay is a sin” and “If you’re gay you go to hell”. I’m starting a new journey in life I’m not going to be afraid I love Jesus with all my heart and he knows that, I’m going to be identified as a Christian. I stopped going to Church because some people saw that I was “gay” and I started to notice how people looked at me in a different way and that made me just want to quit. But I’m going to get closer to God and I believe everything in the Bible. Thank you so much for this I really appreciate this. Please pray for me :)

If you believe everything in the Bible, you are a troubled. It sanctions an awful lot of bad things, from misogyny to racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. If you accept those things in the same way the bible does, you are not a good person. It's good to be aware that nobody knows who wrote the books of the Bible. Not one person. Nobody knows if the revelation from god was recorded accurately. If you believe the Bible, then you're assuming that those who originally wrote it were correct, and that's a massive assumption with very dire consequences. If you want to worship a god, go for it, but be aware that no holy-book is a good source for understanding it's will. Any reason you have for believing the Bible is the same that another would use for a different holy-book. At which point, to remain consistent, you'd be believing in multiple, contredictory gods.

That's really awesome to hear! Unfortunately, some people stigmatize being 'gay' far too much in the church, when we really ought to be helping them resist these temptations that are so very difficult to deal with. I feel a large part of why many homosexuals leave the church is we don't always tend to be the most understanding that there's nothing wrong with being homosexual, but only in commiting homosexual acts. And God bless! I will pray for you!

Never underestimate the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God for each and every one.
@wonbyone4ever7975 жыл бұрын
Oh my ... perhaps your understanding of His "reckless love" and my own, differ greatly, Patriot Insurgent ... much like "Patriot" describes "Insurgent" in your name here ... reckless is describing His love for us. There are actually many meanings to the word reckless - - two that would fit in my use of this descriptive adjective would be "unheeded" & "compulsive" ... very good descriptions of the "overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God" - - a song by Israel Houghton, (Reckless Love) ... another example would be ... "Here I'm tested and made worthy, tossed about but lifted up - - in the reckless, raging fury, that they call the love of God" - by Rich Mullins (The Love of God). Hope that helps to clarify my intent in my choice of words. May we all, someday soon, have His kind of reckless love when it comes to one another.

Pardon me, I don't know if your comment is directed to the guest of the show. If not then please disregard what I'm about to say. But if it is, I need to ask a question.. did you even listen to the entire interview? 😅 He said that he's not gay anymore since he accepted Christ in his life. Yes, he still "struggles" with same-sex attraction every now and then (I think all Christians still "wrestle" with sin while still on earth) but he has ever since decided to walk out of his homosexual life and found himself enamored by Christ that he no longer want that old life. I hope, as Christians, we'd be more open to listen first before judging just because of the title of the video. By the way, reading through other people's comment, I also found out that his sister-in-law had been praying for him for 20 years! I don't really know him prior to watching this video, I can't even remember his name as I'm typing this but what say you and I cover him in prayer instead so that he may never stumble because his is a powerful testimony that shows how the Lord can transform someone's life. 😉

Re-read the gospel. If he is destined for hell then some other things are also inferred: 1. So are you. “For all fall short of the glory of a God (all have sinned). 2. You continue to sin and so you shall until you vacate the flesh. Even Paul himself states this. “That which I would do, I do not. That which I would not do, that I do.” 3. “My grace is sufficient.” Where sin is, grace is more. Are you saying that Jesus’ work on the cross was not sufficient or imperfect? Furthermore, if God says he will “remember no more” your sins and that you’re forgiven, who are you to say otherwise? Are you the judge? It is never a Christian’s place to cast judgement. Re-read that Bible. God bless.
