I am not nor have I been in a relationship for a very very long time but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in anyway. So from an outsider's point of view, I think in regards to looking and feeling sexy while still being in a relationship/married is up to the couple in that relationship/marriage. It's not just a matter of respect for your partner but also yourself. When you're younger you'll probably wear clothes that compliment how you feel at that age. As you get older your style may change as your relationship/marriage continues and so on. You'll see yourself looking and feeling different and again you'll wear clothes that compliment how you feel. In a relationship/marriage there is only 3 involved that matters: you, your partner and God. That's it. You live and love with respect and care with your partner and God. Everybody else criticizing is just noise that has no place in your relationship/marriage. I know I don't have the experience of relationships as an adult but that's my guess anyway.

I'm 68, will celebrate our 49th anniversary in September and today my husband told me that I have sexy legs. He clothes shops with me and selects much sexier public clothing than I would ever choose on my own. I am very conservative. When my mother was living she said I dressed like a "fuddy duddy". Once, while still in high school, she bought me a see through blouse. It was dark blue with large flowing sleeves and huge flowers imprinted all over the fabric. It was picture day and she made me wear it. I wore three slips under it and was miserable all day. I can still get by with sexy clothes and now that I have gained up to 110 lbs. and size 4 and no longer look like a bag of bones I find it kind of fun to dress sexy on occasion.
