Can You Beat Ape Escape 2 Without using any Gadgets?

A Challenge run to try and beat Ape Escape 2 on PS2, I went for a more edited approach and would appreciate some feedback!
This acts as a Walk through for people to attempt this challenge, with commentary explaining my thought process.
A Classic from the 6th generation of gaming. Its a wonderful game and well worth a try

Ape Escape 2 is the oldest game I own. Not literally, like I own older games. But it's the oldest game that I physically bought when it came out and still have. So I love to see it loved ❤

Sweet video, thanks for making it! And your writing skills are superb. Super enjoyable! As someone who did this challenge first, here are some pointers I found; - The air crawl into the banana huts are difficult, but doable. It's all about handling speed and angles. - Simian Citadel softlock is fixable by... getting rid of the thing by pressing buttons in the room, but that kinda defeats the purpose. So forward is the way we go! - I'm pretty sure you can spin normally 3/4 times instead of grouund pounding 5 times in Simian Citadel. Unless you want to complete it. - Shout outs to Yuri for the ghosting. Was about to write this down ;p

Thanks for dropping by. By the point of simian citadel I had removed the idea of using the stun club normally from my head, It didn't even cross my mind! If I revisit this again later I will definitely look at the huts more

15:38 the 5 stun club hits on this gate. Could it not be done with maybe 3 or 4? Looked like there was time to run under without swinging the full 5 times? I haven't played this game since launch so have no recent experience, but thought would share thoughts :)

Yeah. It's quite deceptive. You need it to hit the top otherwise it just falls too fast. It was a fun run though

Ape escape 1 & 3 had the same composer I'm not sure if he was unavailable during AE 2 or if they juet didn't want him back but AE 1 & 3 have killer sound tracks

Yeah, its the PAL version, thats what I played on as a kid so hearing ash and misty weirds me out lol. I Didnt know there was a way to play as spike! I definitely would have done that if I had known!
