You can do death from above, but need to lock on, position yourself and jump and do high profile assassinate directly on the target. It’s tricky to get the timing but once you do, you can use it for many of the bosses. Only in later games did they have auto-lock-on for it but it was always possible. I recently did a full stealth run (doesn’t count the ones that are impossible to stealth for story reasons) and the only one I messed up on was the executioner.
@Spirit_of_Yubel Жыл бұрын
Because it's not really an Air Assassination. It's gameplay jank. The game is skipping the traditional "Land on Ground" animation and skipping right to the High Profile "Jump and Kill" animation, making it *Appear* as an Air Assassination. Likewise, considering how obtuse pulling it off is, it's clear that it's not an intended feature of AC1 as a whole.

No , the game has air assassination. yes, but you have to be a lil close to the target, lock-on to them, and press R1 while maintaining high profile. the only difference herewith other games is you hve to press and hold "high profile" button aka the block button. @Spirit_of_Yubel Жыл бұрын
@@btchiaintkidding7837 No, that's not an Air Assassination. What you're describing is technically a sort of "Jank" in the gameplay. What's happening is the game is triggering a "High Profile Assassination" by pressing the buttons at the exact times that it skips the "Land on Ground" animations and goes right into the High Profile "Jump and Stab" killmove animation. But the problem was that the windows for pulling this off are so tiny and tight, it's not exactly something someone's going to do naturally. AC1 never had Air Assassinations period, only gameplay jank.

the game has combo system, if you spam r1 then the guards will literally block everything and wont d^e, you have to rhytmically time your attacks to pull combo k^ll and successfully doing so lets you k^ll them with a takedown cutscene/animation instead of ragdoll. and performing combo k^lls and counter k^lls with takedowns like these builds fear/intimidation meter for the remaining enemies so they will yield or run away at lowest level it takes, 3 hits to break enemy posture/HP then the next blow will be a k^llmove, you upgrade this with story progression and by the emd of the game it only takes 1 hit to break enemy posture.

Fantastic video! As the other comments say, the hidden blades are actually the most powerful weapons (at least up to AC Revelations) due to them being able to counter every weapon, albeit having as much smaller counter window. I remember that in AC Brotherhood there used to be Trials that you could do and one of them was how many combat kills you could get with only the hidden blades and the enemies would slowly ramp up to difficulty up to the Papal guards themselves. An interesting playthrough I did once in Brotherhood was trying to complete the game by disarming every enemy and using their weapon to kill them. I don't remember how far I got into the game but it would be pretty interesting imho.

Used to watch an other youtuber, Stabguy36, for trick kills and strategies (while in the first game you can't do air assassination, you can, however, run from a certain high under a certain distance to do a sort of "running jump assassination"). But considering how it is much more easier to use the hidden bladesin the next games, and also the fact that there is a bunch of sequels, I would rather you do AC2 and/or Ac unity next. AC2 is a must, after all, and as far as I know in Unity the hidden blade has been devolved to just an assassination tool, rather then being a weapon on its own.

i wjsh he mixed it up here in AC1 with shock and awe tactic. it kinda works like Basim's assassin focus but with skill gap lol. You remember the "assassin focus" thing on "ac mirage" where he instak^lls group of guards with hidden blade? this was kinda already in AC1 but it had sk^ll gap, basically in AC1 everytime you k^ll an enemy while fighting a group, there will be one guard that will go into "nervous"/intimidated/fearful/shocked animation and drop his guard for a short window, you can disengage and walk to that enemy and instak^ll him with hidden blade, and this will trigger another one of the enemy to enter "intimidated" state, so you walk to him and instak^ll and repeat this until the whole group is de^ad. i am told the fans calll it "shock and awe" tactic. wpuld have been really cool and engaging way to do this challenge instead of grab and throw lol. i am just gald lem iz showing ac1 some love here edit:nevermind he kinda does it at 10 min. btw, it is not rng, if you k^ll an enemy with cinematic takedown(aka combo k^ll and counterk^ll) and not a ragdoll k^ll then the stunlock on other guard is guaranteed not upto rng or chance. also, he kinda messed it up there, you need to disengage then get the hidden blade k^ll, otherwise the cinematic k^ll will take too long and the next guard will be out of the shock state so you cant chain k^ll everyone. the guard at the left side came out of its shocked state by the time he finished the animation at around 10:30 ish

i wish be does another ac1 video, but "no counterk^ll" challenge, cuznot spamming counterk^lls forces you to learn the combat and the combat in ac1 has surprising depth and engaging combat. it is just a shame that the game introduces counterk^ll so early in the game which k^lled any chance of players to appreciate or engage with the intricacies of the combat. not to mention the game gives you too much HP

It’s always a shame when you reach to pickpocket someone and it turns out you stole their spin, ugh such a pain in the back. 😉

The (early) AC games are among my favourite games of all time. I would love to see you tackle some more ^^

17:37. OH my heart is smiling. XD. you can also use the throwing daggers as dual melee weapons. Just have to be careful as if the enemies aren't in melee range you'll end up throwing them all and run out.

This just made me realize how great 2007 was for gaming. In one year we got Assassin’s Creed, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Team Fortress 2, Crysis, CoD: Modern Warfare, and Lego Star Wars: The complete saga among others. I don’t think it can get much better and historic than that

Man... I wish we could get AC1-3 all over again from Ubisoft. Even AC Unity wasn't that bad. But the online modes from Brotherhood, Revelations, and AC3 was the best online modes I've ever played.
