btw, you don't have to recast witch bolt each turn, all the way to the right you click recast and it should reactivate and do more damage

Very fun watch! The run I do after I finish my embrace Urge for final achievements will be a "how fast can I get through this?" run. This video actually showed me a couple things I hadn't thought of even after 900 hours invested in this thing... aaaaaand made me realize I should probably stop nibbling Gale's hand off. (A mistake made 1 hour into my completed Honour run (dubbed "the path of least resistance run") that nearly cost me the whole run since it came down to the final round against the brain and just Durge standing).

every time you beat honor mode, force yourself to do things differently. don't just keep beating it the same way, that's the beauty of this game. im on my 5th honor mode run, probably lost about a dozen along the way, longest playthrough lost was 24 hours in

I finally beat Honore Mode last night using this guide. I loved the “bully arc”. I wonder how many other encounters you can get through without fighting. A couple of heart attack moments when I set up my team during Ketheric I definitely did not get a surprise round, same with Orin. Not sure if that was patched. And Gale was willing to sacrifice himself as long and you just keep chatting with him in your camp. I didn’t do any side quests for him. All in all great walkthrough. Oh! The Gortash dialogue after you have all of the stones is tricky! Make sure you do Insight twice and each time you refuse to give up your stones.

I clear the entire tower before freeing or killing Nightsong. Room by room. You can even kill Susdera and the necromites without aggroing Ketheric. Ketheric has his back turned on you. I wait for the necromites to dash over, and any necromites who never come into range, I gradually move closer until my ranged attacks can hit them My reason for only going the closest I need to be and not a step closer is to prevent Ketheric from being pulled into the battle

most relatable thing you did was aim to make a low-stakes run and choose a halfling bard as your player. doesn't get that much more winnable than that (although i myself made a duergar bard, because, you know, unlimited invisibility out of combat)

I am so confused. I am pretty sure I did the exact same thing as you did on the orin fight, but the enemys were not surprised and after throwing the water bottle Orin just eliminated my whole party in turn 1. Any idea what went wrong?
