To save time on longresting, you can respec a companion you dont use and after every level up, close out the level up screen and buy from the trader. Each time any character levels up the shops refresh. This means every long rest, you can get as many shop refreshes as you have levels to lvl up.

Extra potions trick: recruit the wizard from Withers > respec them with high wisdom, and pick the medicine skill > make them transmutation wizard at level 2, they can now make 2 potions with a DC 15 medicine check > cast enhance ability - owls wisdom on them with one character, and guidance with another. Even at level two, they now have a 1d20+3(17wis)+2(proficiency bonus)+1d4(guidance) and they roll twice due to owl's wisdom to create 2 potions for the price of one. Keep upping their Wisdom score as you level up, leave them in camp for when you want to make more potions.

Believe merchants also restock on a level up, so you can just take 3 level 1 hirelings out shopping. At level 6, say, you can do 15 level-ups and check the merchant each time for new stock

you can reset shopkeepers quicker by reseting you class, then repeat 1. buy all you want from a shopkeeper 2. level up 3. repeat for as long as you can level up 4. reset class again infinite shop resets much quicker

To be fair tho, i'm pretty sure you can beat the game with any class if you just turn it into a throwing build, it's still the most broken thing in game i've seen, and it get online so quickly and is consistently strong throughout the game.

Technically it's better to blow gale up at the end because opening the brain is a lvl 9 spell and blowing up is like putting a dagger thru the heart so it cuases magic but your not casting it
