Makes me wish my friend didn't lose my original cartridge of Legacy of Goku 2 around 14 years ago. I went through the effort of collecting every single stat capsule with the intent to use every single one on Hercule. Ended up with a Hercule that was pretty much on par with the other characters.

Budokai is balancing is weird, transforming gives you 10% regardless of which form you use. It was fixed on later games though. So Hercule being a viable fighter isn't weird. Try it instead at Tenkaichi where his punches do not flinch enemies.

Budokai 2 is before my time. I bought DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in 2012 and had so much fun!

Its a RARE game now. Worth a lot of money if ya still have it. Btw in Tenkaichi 3, Hercule is super super God Tier. He has an infinite with his present bomb. And you can charge it, and do it during opponent recovery so it can, in theory, be done to anyone infinitely. (I tested it on omega shenron and perfected him, though it takes a really long time)

Now that you mention it I think Hercule is the ideal use for character customization. At least guaranteeably for Tenkaichi since you don't need the capsules for all the characters in order to use their whole moveset as you would in Budokai. In Budokai you kinda need breakthrough for every character in order to have some proper local multiplayer fun.

I mained him in Tenkaichi 3, if you could play him in the whole storymode, he had a very easy to get off infinite combo which is why he was an S tier character in that game xD. (Also broly's hard counter.) Don't mess with Hercule. Never seen Budukai 2, so thanks for the vid.

@@bongosmcdongos4190 A lot of physical supers in that game send the enemy flying for way longer than you do. This means you can charge another by the time they can act again. A lot of "weak" characters like Pam, Videl, Kid Goku and more happen to have some of the best ones. Hercule has one of the best ones in BT2, and gets Present bomb instead in BT3 which is just as good. Present bomb also can interrupt opponents combos and be added anywhere in your combos. Hercule is kind of insane in that game even though he has -25% attack and doesn't knock enemies back with his normal attacks just because of present bomb.

You can't vanish out of it if you get caught in its activation range, it has the highset priority out of all physical moves, can't be blocked, and if you get in one, Hercule has enough time to charge up and hit you with another one before you recover making it an infinite. Broly is countered hard because his ki blasts suck and needs to rely on getting in close for his devastating grabs and punches, but Hercule says "lol nope." and locks broly in his infinite until broly dies.
