I think my favorite From Software boss has to be Isshin, The Sword Saint. A four phase boss fight (if you include Genichiro) that just felt like a dance to me. Learning his moves and responding with your own. Every phase is different and challenging in its own way yet stays fair. The atmosphere and setting are incredible as well. Same here. He is one of my three "legendary" Fromsoft bosses, which is how I describe a boss battle that is just above and beyond good. The other two are Slave Knight Gael, for being literally the perfect final boss for the Souls trilogy; it literally could not have ended in a better way, and Ornstein and Smough, who I regard as the best gank boss ever created (and before you say Friede and Abyss Watchers, Friede's 1st and 3rd phases are amazing, but her second phase is very hit or miss, and the Abyss Watchers don't have enough health). Also, considering the main reward for beating O&S, the hardest base game boss, is literally the best reward in any Souls game (fast travel), I'd say they are almost more rewarding to beat for the first time than Gael, though I think Isshin is a close contender due to the combat mastery required to overcome him

My favorite Elden Ring boss is Placeadoodlesacks for sure. The arena you fight in looks incredible, that music is beautiful. And the way the music cuts when he does that giant dragon lance explosion is too epic and well made. It's also a secret boss so not many people have fought him. (on Steam more people have beaten Malenia than Placidusax I'm not joking) And his design is soo cool! I mean it's a giant two headed stone dragon! And knowing he ruled the lands between before Marika and Godfrey showed up makes it even cooler.

Rhadam, the guy's backstory, the set up for the fight, and what he can do personally are a mix of heartwarming, epic and tragic. The guy learned gravity magic so he could keep his sickly horse, even as he grew to 20ft+ tall, and mastered it to the point he STOPPED THE STARS IN THE SKY. He is so tough the game gives you a bunch of free summons and the fight is a regular event in universe by people trying to lay him to rest because he was such a great guy, and is still incredibly dangerous even as out of his mind as he is.

He's also an important continuance of the literal paradigm of the "weak and meek hero would nobody notices." in the vein of the Hobbits from LOTR and Cloud Strife from FFVII; heroes who succeed precisely because the villains' attention is elsewhere. Far too much of Hollywood culture preaches the idea of the "lone warrior" mentality that can achieve everything and defeat all enemies on their own, and as it's definitely bled over into mainstream culture, it's hardly just harmless movie fantasy any more.

Gascoigne from BB is my favorite. Not that he's tough, but he teaches players to git gud by learning to parry and not to play defensively. Also, it's good to see how easy he is in later playthroughs, seeing how he's a wall for newer playets

My favorite boss is still Ludwig, though Gael is a close second. I love the "narrative" of the fight as Ludwig slowly regains his senses and glory with a fantastic mid-fight cutscene and wild phase transition, can't help but get goosebumps as the 2nd phase music roars in. The gameplay is stellar, the wild but surmountable aggression of phase 1 combined with the elegant power of phase 2 makes for a very dynamic and memorable challenge. He was a massive wall in my first playthrough, so much so that I've nearly memorized his fight and could pull it off on reflex with only a few scratches. No clue if I can still pull that off now though since its been a while since I've danced with the demon horse, been too busy learning how to count with Mogh

The Bloodborne DLC was a masterpiece, aside from Logarius, but we don’t talk abt him. But seriously, aside from that one small blemish, the Bloodborne DLC is literally perfect, and just as good as the rest of the game, which is probably the best out of the FromSoft games.

Father Gascoigne has to be my favorite Soulsborne boss in history, the build up to him is incredible. His daughter telling you to find him, the evidence of his eldest daughter being eaten by a monstrosity, the corpse of his wife sitting in his boss room. The music is incredible as well, punctuating the fight that teaches you you're not playing any old Souls game anymore. You're in Yharnam now. Best fight in my favorite Soulsborne game.

In particular, I enjoy the feeling of despair in being his arena, I enjoy the feeling of desperation when his hp depletes more and more, and his phases change him from a beast, to a powerful knight, and eventually into the very embodiment of the Dark Soul.

Great to see you back love the runs, Gael's gotta be my favourite he really feels like the last boss of the series. It really feels like he is the last true challenge in the game and fits his tragic story.

There’s something hilarious about how he monologues in Shakespearean, insulting you and leaving you completely confused about what he’s talking about while being captivating all the same. The Morgott fight was also the first main story boss I was able to defeat without summoning any friends (I’m not very good at souls like games). His move set and combos are fun to learn and just look at during the fights and his cursed sword is my favorite weapon in the game.

My favorite boss is definitely Slave Knight Gael, though it's a hard toss-up between him and Sister Friede and I will admit it often flips depending on who I've fought recently. Gael though has all this over-arching lore that connects him to the series from start to finish, and mirrors your own journey from DS1-3, perfectly encapsulating the journey of Dark Souls and reframing it from an outside perspective to show that... this is you. This is what you do in these games. It's not a hero's story, it's a story about survival and perseverance, and eventually even if you have noble intentions in this universe there are going to be massive body counts. Plus mechanically he shows off every aspect of boss fights in the series, starting out more animalistic and beastial, slowly transforming into a more humanoid duel and then a God-like master of magic and mayhem as he Hollows, showing you that this is the Dark Soul, this is humanity, this is its power. Just like Gwyn, just like Izalith, just like Nito, humanity was always immensely strong, and there is a reason our souls were branded with fire to keep us dulled to our true power. He moves predictably but wildly, his patterns readable but varied enough to make you give him the attention he deserves, and if you're not prepared for a breathtaking score and arena you're gonna get lost in its beauty as he beats your ass. He wraps up the entirety of the series beautifully and is always what gets me excited about braving through the hell of the Ringed City.

I'm actually doing the Master Firebender build and so far it's amazing. Just last night I went to the mimic boss and before I went in, I took off my weapons except for my sacred seals, the Scale chest armor, gauntlets, the aristocrats headband, and made sure all my spells were fire incantations just so I can make the boss fight into an Agni Kai 😂😂😂. I also use strictly flame based weapons such as Sword of Night and Flame (I know it also has the Comet Azur, but I mainly use the fire attack), and I use the Giants seal and the Dragon Communion seal. I'm currently trying to level up my intelligence to use the Ghostflame, and I might also use lightning spells because Iroh also stated that lightning was known as cold blooded fire. Also great job on creating Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender
