A really cool Elden Ring challenge run i came up with, i though it was going to be a much bigger disaster but it turned into one of the most fun challenges! And thanks to everyone that watches these videos, really appreciate it and its a huge honor to me :)

The fact that red lightning comes from the sky and you catch it to smite your foes like you showed is exactly why I love this game so much, it has freaking no reason at all to be this cool and beautifull but the devs said f it, this shit will be remembered for long

There is an even better detail about it. You're not the only one who catches it from the sky, but it's not unexpected I'm not talking about summons, or even about any kind of human NPCs. That's expected of them. All dragons also catch it. Well, not all of them. Placidusax doesn't. He is the only one, implying that either all lightning comes from him, or that he is the only one who doesn't have to take it from anywhere else

Placidusax also seems to show the most proficiency with making ‘weapons’ from lightning - using the claws as a standard move and the closest equivalent he has to the attacks with it by the other dragons (where he puts some oomph into it/charges) is the lightning nuke

@@softlocker5941 Possible, but that Outer God is the Greater Will, not really associated with lightning, but that would explain why the Golden Order accepted it. So I'm more of the opinion that it comes from the unnamed dragon god ( not an Outer God, think of them as to Placidusax what Marika is to Godfrey ) that fled, or even Placidusax himself ( but we can use it during the fight, so maybe not ), who does not receive it from the sky

What I really like, are the different colours for both lightning and fire. It's just plain fun to throw them around, although my personal favourite has to bee the Frost Lightning.

just a heads up, all attacks you can jump over, the ancient dragon spells that make you float with dodge them. So all sweeping attacks, all godfrey ground slams, stuff like that you can cast glaive or fortisax's spears and you'll dodge the entire attack while landing some mean hits

I run around with Gransax's spear, the one lighting AoW rapier that turns you into a storm cloud, and a bunch of lighting incants...it's a blast lol

btw, in case you didn't know about the messages on the water of Radahn's arena, some people invaded while people were on the verge of the arena and spawned in a glitched location that is underneath the water. Any message they write at the bottom, appears at the top of the water. Really weird glitch, but I think they patched it already.

Before I watched this, I honestly tried Ancient Lightning Dragon Strike in a very specific build and was very much surprised when I found out that even bosses like Maliketh, Godfrey, and Radagon get melted by that incantation so quickly. So this video puts a smile on my face

Very nice! The Dragon Cult Incantations are honestly my favorite incantations and they're also very good so I knew this challenge would be a fun one. P.S. A Golden Order/Fundamentalist Incantations Only Elden Ring run has been done. It's completely possible to beat the entire game using them. So perhaps you can try that one some time in future. The main hard part about the run is grinding runes for leveling both Faith and Int and being patient for the holy resistant bosses. The spells absolutely annihilate Deathbirds though so fighting them is very good for getting runes. Radagon's Rings of Light can also do a surprising amount of damage so it's worth getting it and using it as soon as possible. Using Healing Incantations is also recommended in this run since Cerulean Flasks will be more important than Crimson Flasks. There's also a total of 20 Starlight Shards in the game so using them for some of the more holy resistant bosses like Maliketh or Radagon and Elden Beast is worth it.

The basic Discus of Light is way more powerful than people give it credit for. It's a little slow to start casting, but it can be chain-cast very quickly, costs almost nothing per shot, has good range and tracking, and does solid damage if the rings hit twice. Its biggest drawback is dealing Holy damage.

Nobody did a video on golden order spells only, tho i did do the math on the later bosses and it would be possible by spamming discuss of light and using starlight shards as back-up. So yea, i was planning on doing that one after i do my unique skill run only, so stayed tuned for that one :)

Ancient dragon spells are my favorite, I ended up playing through NG+7-10 with a dedicated Ancient Dragon Priest build, no melee straight spells. The lightning stakes can also jump over attacks (I jumped over a guy using Hoarah loux ground slam AoW and slammed him with fortissax lightning spears, he ate them directly and called me a hacker lol)

I have an entire one-shot build using the dragon lightning spells, they're incredible. Glaive is definitely the most underwhelming as far as raw damage, but the sheer area it covers is amazing. And using it in watery areas is stupid

ALS is the incantation response to shard spiral. they are the “is the boss large? then use this” spells. they can hit multiple times and can melt through bosses it’s actually hilarious. i recently did a “goddess of magic” run where i pumped to 80-80 int faith with mind and arcane…. dear GOD it was insane. especially when i got the seal and staff that scaled on both…. over 400 spell bonus… before talismans and other buffs…. it was glorious. shard spiral melted elden beast in seconds while ALS took care of basically everything else once i got it. i was squishy as even a light breeze reduced me to atoms…. but it was so worth it.

ADLS works so well due to hitting multiple times on big targets, and charging it just gives more bolts to mince those targets with, So elden breast and the dragon lord get devoured

ADLS being not only the highest damaging Ancient Dragon incant but also the easiest to hit is an absolute joke but im all for it. Ez minimum 4k dmg on pretty much every main boss

It's a little sad that ADLS is the only good incantation against bosses. Most of the time using the other ancient dragon incantations aren't even worth the trade, unless you're really over leveled. Hope we get some better ones or Ice lightning incantations in the DLC.

I find the other spells have their niches that make them worth using. Fortissax's Lightning Spear can stunlock Malenia if you bait her into a corner for the first one; Lanseax's Glaive is great for clearing mobs in some later dungeon bossfights, or just in general; and Ancient Dragon Spear is a slightly more efficient and faster version of Fortissax's, so you can stunlock really fast light bosses like Black Knife Assassins with them. But just rushing down major bosses? Ancient Dragon Strike is a tactical nuke.

Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike alone can delete bosses with ease, pair it with Lightning Scorpion Charm, Godfrey’s Icon, Grand Flock Talisman, and Shard of Alexander and you are gonna do half the bosses health bar. As well as having the Cracked Lightning Tear.

secret special strategy for Godfrey with ADLS: If you make sure to phase transition him into Hoarah Loux where he starts at, the other bolts of ADLS will hit him as soon as the cutscene ends, doing another 2-4k damage for free.
