I do love this series, but I have to agree with others on I like a little bit more challenge. It could be a good change to ban legendaries starters? Would make the early game harder, but would also be more interesting. Can't wait to watch more, though! Thanks for keeping us KZbin folks in the loop with your content :-D

when you start with a legendary the trainers are made harder so its pretty balanced out but zacian is broken

I'm doing every Monotype challenge emerald rouge Aswell, and Steel was the first one I beat The only pokemon that survived at the end were Mega scizor, magnzone, and empoleon

Using legendaries as starters pretty much takes out all of the challenge during these runs, and to be brutally honest takes away the enjoyment of watching. If the point of the series is to showcase each type during a run, why would I waste 25 minutes watching a legendary sweep NPCs?

I think that breaks the monotype run because the rule is no entering a battle with a pokemon of another type and catching a legendary would still be entering a battle

Ok challange to add to this. No legends to start off. 2 of these videos start with a legend and end with it. And if you see a shiny you have to smuggle it to the end even if you can’t use them. They can only be wahheyed or they are a dead spot in your party

Man it looks like they are going to update the grass encounter. Instead of you walking through the grass like crazy trying to figure out what's there, they're going to put overworld sprites walking around the grass so we can get a better idea of what Pokémon are there. haha Btw, nice gameplay man!!

I've been enjoying the emerald rogue challenge vids.... but i cant sugarcoat it, this one was just bad. Just used pretty much the most broken pokemon ever and a bunch of klefki fodder. I find it hard to even consider this a monotype challenge.

You can use Rare Candies before the run starts to level it to whatever. But then you lose that Rare Candy for future runs

You need to catch it in a run before and have to unlock legendary encounters in the safari zone. Check the quest log. I think you have to beat the game with a legendary in your party but i am not sure anymore.
