I got one: Can You Beat Fallout: New Vegas As A Tribal? Description: The basic idea is that you're a tribesman who lives off the land and doesn't use technology (except your Pip Boy since you think it's a gift from your supposed God!). You live off the land, hunting the wasteland creatures to either use their skin, trade their body parts for any items you may need, and to cook their meat. You can also make healing powder, because I'm gonna say this right now: No stimpaks, doctor bags, or super stimpaks. Still on the fence about drugs, though. Your main weapons will be the spears used by the Legion, a machete and any kind of knife! You need something to skin those Gecko's. You can use leather armor since you can argue that since the leather supposedly comes from Brahmin (basically cattle), then it's viable to wear and you can also make gecko-backed leather armor. In terms of trading, you're allowed to trade but you don't use caps. Instead, you do the old fashioned style of trading by trading items for items. You're allowed to trade for fun stuff like alcohol, it's not like the colonizers purposely trade alcohol with the natives or anything.... You can also scavenge from locations, but its limited. You're definitely not going into that factory, but I do see you heading towards that cave. No guns, since that's what the filthy colonizers use. [Bonus Challenges] 1) Hunt the Legendary wasteland creatures to become the legendary tribesman! 2) Hunt down the Fiend bosses to show how alpha you are. I can't think of anything else at the moment. If anyone wants to add or change anything to this, please do. I have a headache and I can't think of anything else.

Can you beat fallout NV as the chosen one
@jandamz11193 жыл бұрын
The argument with drug use could be based off the Legion as they themselves do not permit the use of manufactured/commercial drugs. As long as the crafting recipe does not involve any non-natural item, then I can say it's fair game. Hydra (Doctor's Bag replacement), Healing Powder (Stimpack replacement), Antivenom are the three common Aid items in base game FNV that are considered Natural so it's pretty viable for a Tribal playthrough, coupled with the Venoms that you can coat your Unarmed and Melee weapons with.

I’m incredibly late to commenting this, but the Super Mutant captures would indeed qualify as slaves IMO. Canonically they’re being captured so they can be forcibly transformed into Super Mutants. Most of the people in the experiments will die, and most of the rest will then fight as part of what’s basically a Super Mutant army, while those that don’t are imprisoned like Fawkes TL;DR, they’re captured, experimented on, and then either die, are imprisoned, or become part of a loose military force. Best case scenario, you die, worst case scenario you’re forcibly conscripted and made into a basically insane murderer. That definitely qualifies as *some* kind of slavery, and a rather gruesome one at that

Funny thing about the "no diplomacy with slavers"... Abe gave a lot of chances to the South to not fight. Hell, most of the civil war wasn't about ending slavery. The official, original, goal of the north was to simply re-unify the union.

The south did want slavery, though

Sounds difficult, could be fun though, would basically have to use just bare fists or always just aim for body shots without the bloody mess perk

Well damn if this didn't give me an urge to replay Fallout 3 after more than a decade. Lincoln's Repeater was my go-to weapon in the game, and I put my love of lever action rifles in all other games down to that.

I like to think that in this scenario: Lincoln was revived by the nuclear radiation because B-Movie Science, but he has amnesia and the only things he can remember is that his name is Abraham Lincoln and that he has to free the slaves, he doesn’t remember why though.
@logansweet41903 жыл бұрын
Perhaps for a more difficult challenge in the same vein you could be William Wallace from Mel Gibson's Braveheart. Only use a sword, a shirtless armor, fight for everyone's freedom including all captives (this could include more dlc like mothership Zeta) and stuff like that.
@Nerbit130983 жыл бұрын
That actually does sound like a lot of fun, might work better in New Vegas as their is some crazy sword mods for it given the Legion

Man I went to the University of Illinois at Springfield and one of the classes I took there was an Abraham Lincoln class taught by Professor Burlingame who has written many books about Lincoln, talks like him, and even given some speeches at the white house and he would be tickled pink by this video.

"No room for diplomacy" I'm pretty sure had the South agreed to rejoin the US, Lincoln would've let them keep their slaves. Even with the Emancipation Proclamation, he did give the South while to cease fighting before actually freeing the slaves. So I'd say there was room for diplomacy.

Fun fact, the sniper in minefield is actually a vigilante to sets traps for slavers, meaning 1. You killed someone against slavery as Abraham Lincoln, and 2. He somehow though that the literal Abraham Lincoln himself was a slaver.
