Here's a challenge to prove a bit difficult, Fallout 4 as Mr. Cornflakes, but to give a little slack I'd say armor seen during the memory adventure are allowed until you actually confront Kellogg for his armor and Pistol, there is a snubnose .44 rather close to Sancuarty, but if you'd rather go without armor until you kill Kellogg is up to you Editor's Note: The Institute would be the prefered ending both on account of Kellogg's employment and since its been a while since we've had one

The .44 pistol is really strong, it's main downside early on is the scarcity of ammo, but going to that one vendor who sells tons of ammo a bit south of diamond city helps, aside from thw cost, anyway

The only thing that is the same with my Fallout 4 runs since I got the game in 2018 is Lone Wanderer. The biggest two benefits of companions in Fallout 4 is inventory space and soaking up damage. The first few perks of Lone Wanderer is definitely as good as a companion if not better, and the final damage bonus is definitely better than a comp if you don’t them gear up.

I did use dogmeat in my early runs as you can get him very early but opted for going solo as the challenges evolved but either perk is good i would argue lone wanderer is better as you can break the game with it :)

if you don't modify the nozzle you get double the range but slightly decreased damage so kept the original nozzle

fun fact about the fallout 4 flamer, if you make it explosive (through console commands or a mod that lets you craft legendary effects (console users)), it works exactly the same way it does in fallout 76. just something i found awsome, so no worries if yall never got an explosive flamer in 76.

Back when I still played FO4 I'd always wanted to try a run as Pyro from TF2: flamer, sledgehammer, flare gun, and gas mask/leather armor. I could never get it to work late game, since the flamer is so ammo-intensive that I'd have to constantly farm fuel for it just to keep going. Eventually it just became yet another melee build.

it's not a very cost efficent weapon was starting to run out of ammo towards the end

Especially when you take into consideration how much the weapon kneecaps itself by design. Every nozzle upgrade decreases the effective range of the flamer; to get the best unit of damage you have to install the vaporization nozzle, which effectively turns it into a point-blank weapon. At that point you might as well use a minigun with the shredder. Ultimately the flamer is just a sub-optimal weapon, better to download an incinerator and homemade flamer fuel mod if you want to play a Pyro-type character.

Kind of surprised you didn't go for Sergeant Ash from Far Harbor after you took Aquaboy. The Kneecapper effect would be great for immobilizing tougher enemies due to the high fire rate. Tesla T-60 PA pieces from Automatron also boost energy weapon dmg by 15% (5% per piece, torso and both arms). That on top of Heavy Gunner would help tremendously.

seeing as you named yourself "The Pyro" for this challenge i gotta ask............. if you havent done one yet can you do a minigun only challenge where you name yourself "the heavy"? body type would likely need to be something heavyset, and select melee weapons could be used that fit heavy's playstyle (i forget off the top of my head what he used in TF2 for melee) and to go with some of the past TF2 events i think the best fitting faction for him (as much as it kills me to say this as i hate this faction) would be the minutemen (basing this on the mech event where you had a mode where you killed a bunch of mechs which rules out institute, and railroad due to their association with helping synths, brotherhood would be a stretch as they dont like synths but yet their power armor and liberty prime could be seen as mechanical so i'd leave that to your discretion)

The flamer from _Fallout 3_ and _New Vegas_ is better because it looks like an actual piece of military equipment. The flamer from _Fallout 4_ looks like an industrial tool that has been repurposed to serve as a flamethrower.

the synths do have a end btw thought the game doesn't let the body's stack so you will lose some loot ( unless you have a mod to auto loot things for you so you can focus on combat like i like XD )

Hands down, my favorite legendary effect is Deadeye. I don’t care what Gun it’s on. But it might be great on a Flamer. I always want Deadeye for the movement. I’ll equip and never fire it. I’ll constantly flip flop between it and my real guns in a fight, to get that slow down effect with the super-speed and super parkour. (Not to mention how it messes with enemy AI. It’s like they can’t see you while you move.) I bet the Flamer would be an excellent Deadeye weapon, since you need to basically stand in front of an enemy at shorter ranges. It would allow you to move faster than melee attackers, even while going backwards, so you can juke move out of attacks, while still laying down fire. Get close to turrets and strafe their bullets while Flaming them. Close the gap safely to get in range. Honestly, Deadeye is so fun, so useful, in any scenario, regardless if you enter(edit: ever) fire the gun or not, but i can see how the Flamer would massively benefit from this god-tier Legendary effect.

Absoultley so with my time played in the fallout verse fallout 3 - 200 hours (roughly), New Vegas - 600 hours, Fallout 4 800 hours (roughly) so can quite confidently say been playing for nearly 2,000 hours combine in the fallout series the exact number not sure but i rounded down my estimates for you
