@ZERO94AIC Because boxing gloved protect the boxer's hand from being damaged you can throw more powerful punches. Human hands aren't made for striking, you have so many small bones and tendons, throwing a bare punch is like trying to hit someone with a Rolex. You're more likely to damage your hands for the slightest imperfection on form or where your hand lands. Gloves, give you the necessary protection to strike harder with a wider surface area.

An in-game reason would be because your fists don't deal fatigue damage as far as I know. So using bare fists means the enemy is actively resisting until they die instead of collapsing and letting you slowly kill them.

@@emmanuelgarza7149 You don't hit harder in gloves, that's just untrue. Sure, you may have a higher chance of breaking your hand without gloves (though people's who's hands break easily will also often break despite gloves) hitting without gloves is a fair bit harder, and much more dangerous.

@@graysonfost8679 Force = Mass x Acceleration. Gloves not only protect you but add mass and a flat surface area to deliver a blow. Boxing gloves have been designed over a century to allow someone(with training and practice) to hit more effectively and safely. In fact, there are substantially less injuries and knock outs in bare knuckle boxing competitions than gloves boxing competitions because of this. A lot of people actually propose removing gloves from traditional boxing competitions for that reason. [Edit] to clarify, I'm not saying a glove will 100% give you a stronger punch. But it will allow you to punch harder with more mass without hurting yourself, which I believe is a reasonable goal whenever throwing a punch.
