Ghost of Tsushima is the ultimate samurai experience! Let's make it even more so by giving up my utility belt and only using my sword! Honor is the path forward, even if it causes a whole of troubles! Which it most certainly will for me!

Wait this is an actual challenge? Without knowing I only used my sword throughout the whole story, I didn't find the tools to be necessary and often forgot about them lmao I should however clear up that I obviously did use assassinations and the likes of that, it's just the lack of tool usage.

Nicely done! The tools are certainly a nice addition, but definitely not vital. The stealth can make the game 100x easier, but as we both know, not needed either.

the thing that doesnt make sense in this game, is that mongols didnt conquer all the parts of tsushima. they only took izhura. so couldn't the samurai up north contact the shogun then?

This is true, that in game history, it would have been simple to have a messenger ready in case the samurai fell at the beach like they expected to. I'd have to guess, while the Mongols didn't' control any land further north by then, they still controlled the surrounding waters. I'm reaching tho to be honest. Maybe just poor leadership on Shimura's part plus the complete decimation of leadership on the opening beach battle. My final theory would be if no effective resistance remained on the island, the Shogun would be focused on defending mainland Japan and not want to waste resources on the lost isles so they didn't bother to contact for help until Lord Shimura proved to be alive.

@@Shenaniloon they might have controlled the surrounding waters yeah, but they could have had some of clan nago's archers which in game are the best of the best. And some swordsman on a boat to the mainland, they could have shot some flaming arrows on explosive barrels on the boat or finished off the archers on the boat.
