Yeah armor back then was more of a uniform if anything. Or maybe to protect in case of 1v1 barehanded combat from an upset peasant that didnt pay taxes. As soon as sharp steel was involved, it was as if you were naked anyway. Tdlr: lethal difficulty is realistic af.​@@derkaiser9881

Im late to this, but a major tip for the Ryuzo boss fight that worked for me after 100+ deaths on a platinum lethal run, never roll dodge. Only side step his unblockables, also, using heavy attacks more frequently bates out parable blue glint attacks and easily blockable kick attacks. Also when he gets into a slashing furry, just hold block, dont dodge. Hope this helps!

lil' advice, parry if you can, don't doge backwards unless the attack is a sweeping attack, use the hold triangle attack with the water stance against every shield man and don't fair fight spear guys and brutes NEVER it's a dead sentence unless you have poison or ghost stance

Personally the best part about the ending for me is that, with how they're written, both choices can be easliy argued for or against. I personally only pick kill for the white armor, i think the way Jin walks away in the spare ending is the best ending imaginable but for him to honor his only family members dying wish and to be called son 1 more time by said family member? Chefs kiss to the devs for making both endings viable:) top 3 games of all time personally

I tried to take a fort on Lethal difficulty, took like 3 hours with 30 - 40 deaths. Tried to be aggressive? Die. Tried to be defensive? Die. Tried to parry? Die. Tried to dodge? Die. Tried to one on one? Die. Tried to fight 20 guys at the same time? Die. Tried to do bow arrow again achers? Die (they got aimbot for sure). Tried to block/parry/be cool samurai? Absolutely destroyed. Overall, 11 out of 10, this is GOTY for me and many players, respect TLOU 2 but this one really push you over limit. Cleared almost the whole fort but died to a single arrow because I underestimate archer. And who even playing this as a stealthy shinobi, if you like that you have AC or sekiro. Let fight with honor and stand against all those Mongols!!!

An interesting take which I know many share. From what I've read and heard in game, he doesn't die if you spare him, riding back to his castle injured. We can theorize anything after that, but I'd argue the good ending is Jin sticking to his own personal code, ignoring the samurai code since that's been the core of the whole story. Both options make sense and another part of what makes the game great

Btw did you use charm of fortidude? I feel like it would have helped a lot. The one with 20% chance to survive a lethal hit. And then you couldve used the charm of fortune to boost that by 50%

Lethal is insanely difficult. Of course I've only played about 10 hrs on the new pc version, but that demon fight had me going insane. It might have been better to do some side content first. I had zero worthwhile skills at that point.
