in levels that play out in sequence if you go into the next level with an empty energy sword that empty sword will act as if it was full (make sure you have ammo in your other weapon tho or it wont work)

The thing about sword in this game is it doesn't count as melee in the game code (blackeye) so if you were playing true melee only where the marine is technically giving you vehicle kills, you'd also need to avoid swords

Heretic elites can't do melee damage for some reason! The arbiter missions with the heretics are much easier to do melee because they stop shooting up close and cant hurt you lol

They actually can if you're standing in the right position. Their melee damage isn't 0. The reason why you don't get hit is because the damage cone is facing off to the side toward their back instead of in front of them. It's the same with Combat Forms that wield energy swords.

This is because the Warthog horn is actually an invisible weapon with no projectile. That's also why it stops honking after a while because it's actually overheating.

The end of grave mind where it just lets you not kill all enemies. It’s like that on purpose to help the player progress. Or it’s just on a timer. But in deathless runs it’s commonly used cause that last room is ridiculously hard

Hey man so you can skip that section on Delta Halo, you just need to dip into the zone where the jackal snipers spawn by the waterfall after you load the zone where the marine or cortana says “they’re all pouring out if the middle” its the best way to do it on LASO as well

The sword doesn't damage Hunters in Halo 2. Even if you hit their skin you can hear the slicing sound but they take no damage.

Hey, here’s a tip for melee only runs (Halo 2 specifically) if you have an empty sword at the end of the level it’s infinite ammo on the next, it doesn’t work when you switch characters but I thought I’d add this tip and help Xlaiden in his next run

This happens because of how the energy sword works. When its battery hits 0 it's replaced with a useless version of it which just does standard melee damage. However, when carried over between levels it doesn't register that it's an energy sword with its battery drained so it retains full functionality. Since the battery is already at 0 it then becomes an infinite battery energy sword. I don't know why but for some reason the "aged" stats don't carry over.
