Halo wars seems like one of the only games this specific strategy could work with. the rock-paper-scissors system blindspots on core vehicles and infantry, so marines stay a pretty high-value unit longer than most RTS low level units

I completely agree with you. While with other rts games, it feels like lower tier units just become useless in the later game portions. While halo wars have strategies that focus on infantry units that can go late games, aka brutes and odst. While starcraft 2 marines are only good early game and a bit of mid game.

i love challenges like these. i personally stick to 3v3 skirmish and try to put rules on myself. i always fight Legendary AI and a few i come up with is try no heavy supply pads (thank you Forge for when i select random 🙄) or no reactor/temple. or one i really enjoy is spartans only… the spartan challenge in particular really reverses the tier list.. for example- infinity…is normally the worse units in the game-except brutes- yet a single flamethrower can ruin your spartan career in a flash… pun intended.. Vultures… normally suck- but since spartans have horrible base damage- you really gotta try to come up with a strategy to deal with them… it is doable.. but very tough. and no- i dont fund my AI partners either. just some ideas for those who enjoy challenging themselves.

It is sortof amusing that even on Legendary it's possible to just rush forward with a certain amount of force strength and just brute-force the AI before it can do anything.

@@magicalgarrn In a lot of other RTS game challenge runs, moving in to suppress the AI before they can get any momentum (and of course, knowing mission triggers ahead of time) tends to work fairly well. Halo Wars in particular with the socket base system kindof promotes turtling passively a bit too much, when it's actually better to get units out there and begin attacking/contesting the field.

That is a great question! With some of the missions, the warthogs come already upgraded with the gunner upgrade.

How does Spartan vehicle veterancy work?

That is a great question. The whole spartan vehicle veterancy is a bit complicated. When a spartan enters a vehicle, it gives that vehicle 2 stars. If the spartan has 3 stars already, it will give that vehicle 3 more stars. Now, upgrading units is like giving your units a pseudo star of venterancy. If you have a fully upgraded spartan, that will be 3 more stars to the vehicle. In short, a spartan can give a vehicle 8 total stars. If a vehicle has 3 stars and 3 total upgrades, that will be 6 more stars. Which in total will be 14 stars. Which is also the maximum number of stars a spartan vehicle can have. One thing to keep in mind is that spartans and vehicles when together have separate exp.

@sayorisione8868 I couldn't find an exact number on the internet. But by going off my math (which could be wrong). Since 3 stars means 35% more damage and 26% less damage taken. Assuming that each star level after 3 stars is only giving 10% increase. At 14 stars, the unit should have a 155% increase in damage dealt. Now, with damage being received, it gets complicated. Since 3 stars for damage received is 26% less. Now, there are diminishing returns for each star level gained. Assuming it loses 1% each level up and stops at 1% per star gain. Damage taken should be 47% less. TLDR 155% increase to damage dealt and 47% decrease in damage received.

This guy's commentary is definitely one of the most obnoxious I've ever heard🤢🤮, pure garbage. Thankfully the captions seem to work pretty well so I just muted the video to be able to finish it. I was really curious how you would do Dome of Light and Shield World, but it seems you just got lucky with the enemy attacks on Dome of Light, the Shield World one was legit skill though. Hopefully you don't make anymore decent content cause otherwise I'd be forced to watch a muted video again.

Hey thank you for the feedback. Multiple people have mentioned this so I decided to heavenly focus on improving my enunciation. I have improved on my enunciation by a lot in my newer videos and continue to keep improving as I make more videos.
