I mean... Based off the cutscenes and how Rico when he went to Guardia Alpha said he can beat Di Ravello *WITHOUT* weapons, so this is technically the canon way to beat the game, other than the tank and other weaponized vehicles of course

I thought my no-grappler playthrough was crazy, I like this idea. Edit: Post-watch thoughts: - In Connect the Dots, there's another large armored boat at the end, but you didn't show how you dealt with that. - In Three's Company, if you have a chopper of your own, you can enter it and Teo will follow you in his chopper. If you move close to the escort section of the mission, it'll progress and you can dual-chopper the mission, no need to hang underneath.

I don't remember exactly, but I probably just hijacked that boat in Connect the Dots and grappled the enemies, because the requirements at the end were based on defeating the enemies and not destroying the ship. Thanks for the Three's Company strat! Definitely would have made things a bit easier.

I remember doing this challenge a couple years back. I gave myself an even stricter (or tedious, I should say) ruleset, where I couldn't fast travel, or hack SAMs, but I *could* use EMPs. I also did a challenge where I could *only* use weapons, and no grapple, not even for transportation, so that essentially turned the game into GTA directed by Micheal Bay. I love doing these kinds of challenges, though, cause you have to think of unique solutions for each run. What might have been a breeze in one challenge might take you an hour and a half in another, and that's what makes it interesting. I really hope that the (still technically rumored, but basically confirmed by the CEO) Just Cause 5 has a ton of different ways to complete objectives, just like 3, cause I would definitely try these challenges in it.

No fast travel does sound pretty tedious. No grapple also sounds really fun, I might do that at some point. I guess that's basically the inverse of this. Just Cause 5 would be cool! Don't know where this confirmation from the CEO is, though.

@@Drengodr I don't quite know where to find it, sorry, but I am almost 100% certain the CEO of Square Enix said that they will continue to develop the Just Cause franchise. Whether that means a JC5 or a spinoff like a prequel, maybe, I'm not sure. But unless the company goes under because of stinky releases (*cough cough*, Forspoken), we should be getting more Just Cause content sometimes in the future.

If we stick to the definition of a weapon and a EMP, the EMP is not a weapon AND the Rocket Launcher does not launch bullet neither the homming missile are not bullet so, in a way You have not used a single Bullet like the sentence said in the loading screen

One day you should try doing this challenge in jc4 because I feel like the even more advanced grappling hook would give you more options. Not to mention there are some fun things like the gravity gun and the wind cannon which I'd argue aren't weapons but tools so you could use them in the challenge to spice it up.

Okay so I never paid much attention to the dialogues/story of the game so I'm not surprised that I missed some thing, but I'm shocked that I just discovered that in the mission Abandon Ship, I didn't use the EMP ?! Like, I don't know how I even missed it, there's big icons and dialogues telling you to use it ?! Tbf when I did it it was late at night, I remember being very tired, but still, I struggled so much on this mission (so much that I still remember it), and now I discover that I'm just too dumb ?! Anyway amazing video as always

I dont know if it counts as weapon use, if you dont shoot anyone, but in the mission where you have to save the President of Medici from that plane, if you just spam rockets, the game reaches a limit and the enemies dont fire any rockets, found that out because for me the auto aim system of the plane bugged and I couldnt lock on to enemies, so I was frustrated and just kept shooting.... and it worked ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

fun fact:my original way of removing the planes from the bavarium bomb thing was that one,then i found out i couldnt consistently hop back onto the plane,then i tried doing a pitch roll with a jet to lag behind and airbrake when im too forwards,then i realized that airbrakes exist and i could have did that instead of the risky pitch role but whatever i already finished it

mainly because the electrical work looks very unsafe and the generators,unanchored,arc and catch fire if you move them using a mech or a tether(those are very gentle touches!) have you tried punching your breaker box with some hand protection?it might arc and catch fire so dont do that.especially if the cage is made out of metal and your boxing glove is full of mercury.

instead of waiting for enemies to destroy the tanks you can drive them of a small ledge the game is coded so the vehicle explodes very easily if you parachute out
