All of which are optional content. To note, Pride Lands can be done without taking damage, Sephi and Lingering Will can be done with no damage, it is physically impossible to even take damage in Atlantica because it is all minigames, as for the Data Battles well... You can no damage all of them except for Data Axel. So basically, Data Axel is the only fight that can hurt the player beyond their control. Everything else, the player can avoid this if they know how to do so.

I actually attempted this run way back in the day and made it past 1000 heartless (but not far after) before I lost my save file. I'm thinking about redoing the challenge but starting from scratch is rough. From my memory, the hardest fights I had to deal with were: 1) Roxas, Twilight Thorn - The only section of this fight that's annoying/difficult is the section where he puts his head and feet to the ground while sending the vines at you. There's no real good way to do damage without getting swiped by a vine at some point so I'd just run to the opposite side of his face at that portion and hope I can do enough damage in the prior and following sections to get to the Reaction commands again 2) Roxas, Heartless + Axel - As you mentioned, getting hit makes you redo both sections and all the enemies can easily swipe you due to Roxas's slow attack speed and low attack power. Axel is very annoying too due to the dual keyblades taking away your block, making your only "dodge" your jump 3) Beast's Castle, Heartless Door - The first phase is easy albeit it slow and tedious, but his second phase is very difficult due to the magic orbs alone. To get past, I would go into valor form immediately when the second phase started, use square to get into an air combo and square again to go right into a finisher. Usually a Bat enemy would grant me the reaction command by this point and I'd be able to beat the door fairly quickly after that without the door using the Dark-Orb attack even once sometimes. 4) Land of Dragons, Cave Ambush - There is such a large amount of enemies that can easily swipe you when you hit an animation lock and the enemies with the spears have tons of range and there's two at a time in a small space. Without valor or any limit, this was extremely annoying. 5) Hades Underworld, Hades Run - This is a tough area in normal KH2 Crit, let alone no-hit. Hades constantly throws fireballs and the lance-type enemies constantly run at you and there's 4 enemy groups you'll need to fight through. 6) Pirates of the Caribbean, the whole thing - Between the sniper enemies hitting you from across the field to the boat section constantly raining down canons with enemies bombarding your small area, it's extremely tough outside of the final boss fight. 7) Nightmare before Christmas, Oogie Boogie - The number 1 enemy in this is the damn aero heartless. He gets an aero shield immediately after being summoned and the area you fight in is so unbelievably restricted that you can barely get around him. Not to mention it's such a tedious and mind-numbingly boring fight that every death just infuriates you and makes you do even worse. 8) Hollow Bastion, Demyx and FF Run - As you mentioned, if you fail at any point you need to do the whole thing over. Demyx, after enough time, is easy enough albeit long; but the heartless after are tough- specifically the portion with Tifa as she has to fight 4 of the giant blue spiky ball heartless which have tons of health and can start their spinning attack from nearly anywhere. 9) Hollow Bastion, 1000 Heartless - You 100% nailed how unbelievably difficult this portion is. RIsing Sun is too dangerous to use and Snag/Sparkle Ray works 90% of the time, but when it doesn't give you the command, you're kinda just left out in the open to die. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU SNAG AND MISS AND LOSE WITH LITERALY LESS THAN 10 ENEMIES LEFT!!! The heartless section alone took me over an hour straight, and Im not looking forward to it again if I decide to retry the challenge. But very good job and very good video nonetheless

Even till this day, I'm scared of playing KH in Critical mode. Back on my PS2, I've ever only played Beginner. Then when KH got released on PS4, I played on Standard. The highest difficulty I've played in KH is Proud on DDD. Even then I was stuck on the Anti Black Coat fight.

Yep, Warp Strats are pretty good actually. Use the right analog stick once locked on to a world to change to another one. You can warp from Halloween Town to Twilight Town for the Sandlot Nobodies Fight.

That's actually a myth! Crit and Beginner mode do roughly the same amount of damage, but Crit has extra starting abilities. The least damage you'll do is on Proud. For a challenge like this, if i'm never getting hit then I want to do as much damage as possible and I also want to die fast.

I originally was planning to upload the full run footage like I did with my PvZ video, but a lot of it had copyright music just playing in the background. Even though it probably wouldn't put me in any serious trouble, I didn't think it was worth the effort to combine 45 hours of footage all into one file, especially considering that 40 hours of footage is what caps premiere. Okay so warning big amount of text but I tried for a bit, and this is the farthest I've gotten, before the ground is ablaze switch to Trinity limit and try to time the last hit of Trinity so he just finished a combo, immediately when your invincability frames run out switch to limit form, after that I've tried every move (last arcanium, sonic blade, infinity, and strike raid) once you press triangle to continue the attack you start taking damage, if you try to revert your form to go back to Trinity it takes a bit of time so you'll take damage before you can revert, you could even try to skip using a move and immediately revert but that still takes time for you to revert, making you still take damage, the only other thing I could think is somehow skipping him turn the ground on fire but even attacking him as fast as possible it seems like you can't skip it, either way I think im done trying and good luck with trying it

I've never had a problem with Groundshaker. Ir can be cheesed pretty easily though with eithher Simba's limit or by spamming Square in the air in a combo. The reaction commamd set piece is pretty cool though, but that's just my opinion.

Music slaps in every KH game. That's a non factor. Balanced isn't the correct term to use because in KH2 everything that was powerful had a cost to it. Limits used all your MP, Drives and summons used your drive gauge. Formchanges don't use anything making them pretty spammable. Also to tie in with that same point, Ultimate form isn't better than final form. It's just new ways to press X. No magic variation, and instead of being balanced like Final Form was (costs 5 Drive) it's actually UNbalanced as hell because it has both ground and air combo boost. I'm not gonna say that KH2 is a perfect game but it's leagues better in the gameplay department than KH3.
