Hey man, nice to see how this video turned out! I had "no items in battle" as a rule/run in my list of potential challenge run ideas, but I honestly never thought about banning item use entirely, so it was pretty fun to see how this challenge would go! Everything else here is really solid too: I liked your commentary throughout the course of the video, and the audio quality itself is good, both in the quality of your microphone, and also how you balanced out the volumes of your recordings with the music. I think the pacing of the video was pretty good for the most part as well. The only criticism I can really think of would be that I felt like Chapter 2 (specifically the Sweet Tea Rakeem/Vic Cherry battle) and most of Chapter 6 (The section that starts around 16:32, when you return to Rando Land after grinding EXP) sort of dragged on for a bit too long. I like Kacp3rrak's montage idea for Chapter 6, where you could only show the more relevant/important moments for the Party Member/Rando Army battles. As for the Sweet Tea Rakeem/Vic Cherry battle, I think a montage thing could have worked for that part too, although I also think adding some commentary over your attempts would've worked just as well. (Maybe going into more detail on what made them challenging, the strategy you used and whether you changed that strategy over your attempts or if there was any luck you needed for it to work? Just throwing some ideas out there.) But yeah, overall I think you did a great job on this video, I had a lot of fun watching it!

It's still active, probably more than you think. There have been a lot of fan mods released over the past couple years, and there are some new fangames on the horizon. Hopeless, the sequel to Hopeful, is probably gonna be released within the next 2-3 years, and the Pointless Monster Update will hopefully come out within our lifetime. Point is, the community never died, even if it isn't as big as it was before.

Really good video! I like the concept a lot! Also don’t worry about the stuttering, I’m sure you’re just a little camera shy for your first video! Some constructive criticism I have is to 1) use editing techniques to keep the video pace flowing nicely throughout it, and 2) elaborate on some of your points, when you have a lot of dead time to fill. For example, the part where you are fighting sweet tea Rakeem, you could’ve either 1) Edited something together to make the fights shorter and more interesting (ex. A montage of you getting gameovered and your party falling set to some humorous tune, used as a cutaway bit). Or you could 2) Elaborate on your points about why the fight with Sugar Tea Rakeem is so bad, what makes it bad specifically, and how the parts that made this fight bad can be found throughout the rest of the game? (Ie. You discussing what making a character feel weird does to defense, or how a person normally deals with this fight through Joy or firebombs).

Here's a hint: if you defeat beastborn you will get really early the fur coat, which an armor you should get much more advanced on the game, which will be the best armor in the moment for your lorde and master! Terry the lorde of the tutorial! :D so remember to unequip the party members you sacrefice or you don't use Terry Cheatz

I loved the video but one criticism I have is that Chapter 6 shouldn't have been *that* long Like I understand you wanted to show how overpowered Brad was but personally I think the pace would have been better if this section was a montage or something Apart from that one little thing, the whole video was awesome!

Lol that roast of lisa the joyful at the start of the chapter. I think the game was harder at launch because from what I've heard buddy had no mend or bombs. Seems like it would've helped the gameplay feel more frantic since your healing would be pretty limited, forcing you to actually use joy.

Hey bro, good balance between your voice's volume, and the background volume. I dunno if you scripted it, but if you didn't that can help with word repetition. Try to make sure your voice's volume is even between takes. All together I'd say you did brilliantly, good job!

Your voice isn't bad in the slightest, and it doesn't the few times you stutter or pause isn't an issue. It merely acts as another area to improve. The script of instance was really well done, in how it got through all the relevant information, yet still had comedic jabs here and there, which made it enjoyable to watch. Almost everybody tends to dislike the sound of their own voice when they hear it from a recording, but don't let it weigh you down. The video itself is still really solid, and other aspects such as the audio mixing were done surprisingly well. Either way keep on keeping on.

This is literally the first time I’ve heard about the Buzzo hp bug in Joyful

The way Lisa changes phases is that once an enemy hits 0 hp it switches to another enemy then heals them. But for that last Buzzo fight Austin healed Buzzo before switching him to “berny” so he was first phase Buzzo’s hp (around 20k) instead of “berny’s” hp (200k) But bleed takes a percentage of max hp so he looses about 19k a turn on top of the 2k throat lunge does, makes it so the second phase ends in about two turns.

11:47 hyper hair grow is an armor and it heals a small amount of hp every turn In the challenge you can use armors And also some companions have healing skills, that you also can use

In vanilla painful Brads fireball/fire blast can’t burn. So having them waste turns being stunned is better
