I have a feeling you are going to hate me for saying this... but I think it might be somewhat possible to beat pikmin without down on the joystick if you manage to cause a mass pikmin extinction every day. The 1 pikmin sent out after that should tottally be available for use.

I'm pretty curious how much of this game you could play with the A button banned (at least during active gameplay, it's probably not possible to do menus without A). Imagine that becoming as big as when they did it with mario 64!

It's interesting how because of it being literally impossible to complete the game without joystick down and the A button to call Pikmin out of the Onion, you're guaranteed to always have a way to move and a way to perform the bare minimum of tasks I'm not very far into the video, though (only 3:13), and I'm wondering what happens if all joystick inputs except down and also the L button are disabled 🤔 Like, without those buttons, how do you turn? Guess I'll find out :v
