Seems a little too easy so why don't we just make a hard-core nuzlocke with that rule for sv. - normal nuzlocke rules - have to take pokemons advice on moves - instead of one mon per route. We have to do one mon per zone ( north, south, east, and west.) - shinies only So essentially your stuck with 4 pokemon who you lose if they die, they have to be shiny, and you have to take their advice on moves.

Am I the only one of the opinion that just becoming champion doesn't constitute "Beating Pokémon Violet"? Credits don't happen until after you do the whole Crater storyline... Love the video though!

Several streamers have basically pointed out that there's a few options for going to the credits, and all of them suck. Either you have to add basically a dozen level caps and significant battles during the run (making it take forever), or do all the Team Star and Titan story when you're much higher level (making them pointless), and in either case you have to add a bunch more cutscene time, world travel, and grinding (making it take forever-er). Content creators seem to generally be agreeing more and more that wasting time for some arbitrary definition of "completion" is neither good content nor good time management (see the proliferation of rare candies in nuzlockes). Beating the Elite Four is as good a definition as any for beating a Pokemon game, particularly when the content creator is making the rules in the first place. CJ started with damageless, that was impossible, moved to no X Items, that wasn't impossible but he felt like it was more return on his time to use them than to stick to it, and ultimately it was a fun video.

When I fought Larry, his Staraptor randomly got paralysed (no clue how, every single playthrough I've watched he wasn't paralysed) so his facade did double damage. But not only that, he didn't get fully paralysed a single time in the 20 or so turns it took to beat him! So somehow the game glitched to give him exactly what he needed to win and then gave me the worst luck imaginable.

This run gave me an idea, probably not even too hard, considering people beat these games without leveling up at all, but: Beat the game without encountering the concept of evolution. No Pokemon is allowed to reach a level at which it would evolve. Honestly, I think this might just be a less cruel version of "no leveling" and mainly based on the additional caviat of "the concept of" evolution possibly leading to a funny meme run with resets randomly when some bug catcher mentions it; maybe even just forbid use of any Pokemon evolutions that are catchable in general or just of ones you have already used.

The fact that he doesn't take into account the attack drop from burn when he does it for the facade boost is hilarious. Not only does he just put himself with annoying DoT, but he also halves the damage output from Dig.

Facade ignores the burn nerf and just doubles the attack for facade. Yeah, it halves it for Dig, but I only got the burn on battles I didn’t need to use dig.

@@cjya Oh, I didn't know they chanced how facade interacted with burn in Gen 6. I also didn't take into consideration that is is the power of a move that gets halved with burn and not the attack stat. If it was the attack stat, burn + facade would do literally nothing.
