Hey, just so Frank knows, Hadron Engine did boost Palkia’s Special Attack. However, it’s a direct modifier, not a Stat Boost. In other words, instead of being +X Sp. Attk, Palkia’s Base Sp. Attk was increased (I think by 25%).

I don’t know why they made it and the paradox abilities (protosynthesis and quark drive) do that instead of boost a stat by 1 stage like every other ability that works similarly like beast boost, grim neigh, intrepid sword etc. It feels unnecessary unless it either boosts more or less than how much a stage would or there’s a lore reason. To me it’s just confusing and it messed up Frank’s whole thing. Is the boost kept when switching a boosted mon out then back in? I really don’t understand why the ability works like that.

Frank, please, if you'll make the whole team around a ability at least make sure you understand it :3 Hadron Engine just give you a SpAtk boost, it doesn't raise your SpAtk. Is like toxic/flare boost. No message other than the Hadron Engine one.
