This is definitely one of the more interesting challenge run styles I've seen and I'm all for it. I might try one myself one day but I'll probably try one with an early route mon or something that's not very accessible like a first stage pseudo

I remember doing this myself except without item restrictions, and its led me to beating more Pokemon games with just Torchic. Interesting to see someone else do it!

I was surprised at how well Torchic did! Wallace was really the only super hard part of the run, but Crit Slash is OP!

You mentioned it, but yes. You need a Karp for the T&L double battle. And no other HM mons in your party either.

I like the runs, but maybe try and ev train a little later, or limit it in the early game. I'm no say implement a level cap or anything, but maybe not lvl 30 for the first gym

I somewhat agree with you, I wish that were possible. However, there is a major problem with that idea. I *can't* EV train later. Every Pokemon you knock out from the time you get the Pokemon adds up EVs on your Pokemon. You only have about 4 free EVs to waste before you start cutting into your actual stats. As you can see from the Wallace fight at the end, every single EV is sometimes needed and being over-leveled at the start is just the cost of that, sadly.

Well, you should "totally" to do it again, except this time use a moveset of Rock Smash, Peck, Growl and Sand Attack for Torchic. Then you will get a taste of what JaidenAnimation's Chat Plays Pokémon is like. Pain. Like I love easy the Wattson fight was for you, and then compare it to how long Chat took taking until Torchic learnt Flamethrower, obliterating that gym, then losing Flamethrower to Rock Smash. If only we could evolve Torchic without B presses. Anyway good video!

Wonder.. Idk but with the feather on the top of the head… Maybe Torchic is based on the Chicken Hawk… Just idk.. Looney toons and this dog and the rooster, with this lil guy who is a chicken hawk and says as much… Always being tricked by those two 😅 Maybe a chicken hawk doesn’t have that feather, but, maybe it’s in its own way supposed to give us an idea of what creature/ thing the idea is based on.

Oh wow hes level 30 at roxanne. Im attempting this challenge and im at level 21 against brawly so im getting one shot by machop playing sand attack game 😅

Yeah, my runs usually start off with a VERY high level which unfortunately makes the early game a bit of a breeze. However, that's due to the EV training. If I *don't* even train at the start, runs like these would've been nigh impossible. This run in particular is a good example of that honestly, since I could only beat Wallace with critical hits despite all of the Attack EVs I had from the start of the game lol

You can cancel evolutions by either having the Pokémon hold an Everstone OR by pressing the B button when it starts to evolve!
