Don't sweat it. The farming is super arbitrary (S8 was released 2.5 years after the base game) as is the 770G mission. So just don't count them.

Right at the start i already knew the 612 would pretty much win, i love that damn thing, just wish it was a s detailed as it was in mudrunner

If I remember right the Derry special was missing the chain tires. while that may feel like a detriment, the reason is that on snowy maps it just doesn't need them, I never used them on snowy maps and I use the derry special for literally everything. It feels to me like the best all round truck for everything in the game.

Derry Special has chained tires (chained MHS1s). Although It's probably possible to beat the game without chained tires.

@@92c900t Oh in that case it might have been the low saddle... either way, I don't recall ever running into any problems with it once I got it, it was just a really strong truck that could do anything I asked it to.

the one truck challenge is technically impossible since the game automatically starts you out with the ck1500 and forces you to drive the MH9500 as well

yeah i was just imagining that i would use new game + to skip all the tutorial stuff and not have your garage full of dlc vehicles, then just sell the chevy and buy your one truck

This is a tricky question: does the tutorial part of the game or not? After you travel to alaska the game states out that this was the tutorial. I think it is a grey area so either it is impossible or we can see past this.

It can be skipped by going to smithvill, go around that one barricade at the end if the town and go past the watchtower to get to smithvill, you can access garage there

If you are speaking of main game I would agree. I know for a fact there is one Time trial in Northern Aegis Installation in AMUR that you NEED a small scout to complete it. It is called Cliff Surfer. That is only if you want to go for Gold on it.

if you want to include gold on every contest as part of completing the game then there are loads of them that none of the trucks mentioned in the video would be capable of because they are too big, i don't really like contests as a feature and i just tend to do them once to get them checked off so that's what i was going with for this challenge, and as such i assumed that all contests are completable by these trucks given enough time

Base game I'd probably go with the Paystar, With DLC's allowed it'd be a tossup between the Mack Defense and Kenny C500, The C500 is great even considering the lack of mudtires and raised suspension. Or If you don't like challenges just go with the Tayga 6455B or Zikz H which are both monsters. Fun challenge runs might be Bandit or the Freightliner 114SD as both have their quirks.

I love the video, these challenge runs appeal to me and I've posted multiple in the subreddit. I'll point out a few things though- the Metal detector addon is technically required, but in my gameplay it never worked properly and you can just find what you need on the overworld map, so I don't count it. Also, as far as weight is concerned, trucks that weigh less than 15 tons (especially under 10T) struggle alot with special mission trailers, at least if the route has challenging terrain, and likely need assistance from an additional truck. The two special trailers in Northern Aegis Installation provide a good test, as something like the MH9500 (under 7T) just won't go well, as much as I love the 9500. Edit: Not sure why your finalists didn't have the 49X and the KRS Bandit?? Personally, I don't consider lack of mud tires a major issue, the game can easily be completed with just offroads (and probably even just chains). Personally, the Azov 7 is the king of versatility with having pretty much every addon combo, it's agility, stability, range, and I think the 612H is overpowered as hell. It can also have the LK2NY heavy crane, which is pretty arbitrary and shouldn't count. Shoutout to the excellent Mack Defense as well which is heavy enough for mission trailers (17T, same as the Azov 6) and has very good stock tires.

i discounted the 49x 30 because i hate the two dead axles, i always have so much trouble with them dragging in mud and getting caught on rocks. the bandit i think got counted out because it doesn't get a big crane, which is probably a minor thing really but there are a few recovery missions that the bandit crane is probably not long, strong or stable enough to do comfortably, but there is definitely an argument to be made for it

@@distracted... The 49X has a single one, the 47X NF1430 has twins and is far more annoying than the 49X. Still I think the 49X is a super underrated truck and one of the better N/A 6x6s. And the 1430's heavy tires do help it alot. The Bandit's special crane is actually excellent and easily the best minicrane, however the platform it's mounted to isn't the best due to being light and top-heavy. Ironically the 49X also misses a heavy crane.

@92c900t oh right yeah i always get the western star ??X trucks confused, i think the only reason the 49x didn't make it was because of the lack of mud tyres and big crane, so of the trucks that only appeared in the first list it's probably one of the best

Great video, ive also thought about this, some things to consider is you have to skip tutorial and go to smithvill, and you have to be able to use the truck, were just talking every mission, they we can eliminate every truck with a task to unlock it, that would defeat the purpose if the "every mission" aspect

i was going on the assumption that i would skip the tutorial and immediately sell the starter vehicles and buy the chosen truck, and sell any more trucks i unlock, so that i only actually use the one chosen truck

I have kept the Paystar as a useful truck throughout so many of the regions. That being said, it's not phenomenal at any of the tasks. It's just cheap and it's pretty capable. The two finalists on this list, I agree with, aside from the DLC maps that require the occasional special truck. It would be interesting to do a modification of this challenge with one singular truck, one singular scout, and one singular tractor.

What about the farming missions and the 1 mission in Yukon where you have to use the forklift (Not sure you can complete that one with a crane)? Also the Heavy Rock trailer mission at the end of Yukon, your only truck you can haul those with is the CAT 770G. Enjoyed the video btw, it was good.

For the farming missions, I think you can make the argument that a "Truck" and a tractor (or scout) are separate entities. It's also quite arbitrary, not being a thing until season 8. The heavy LK2NY crane is another thing that is "necessary" by a couple tasks in S10 but is obviously quite arbitrary thus shouldn't count.

i only remembered that farming exists after making the video, and yeah the Yukon mission is another one that would stop you completing the game. you should at least be able to complete the base game with these trucks

afaik you don't actually need the metal detector, the missions that supposedly require it can be completed without it

If you're including DLC's then the answer is no as you'll need the tractors for farming, meaning you cannot possibly beat the game with 1 truck, If your talking base game only then the GMC MH9500 will be the worst option because it won't have AWD (which is obtain in Season 1 Kola region), thus reducing it back to it's original Highway Truck status that it had prior to Season 1.

That'd depend on how this challenge plays out. Are we starting with that truck with no map upgrades? In that case Mac Defense would be the option to go for, as it doesn't need it's special engine or active suspension. Also those upgrades are fairly easy to collect. Azov 73210 will be frustrating to get all the way to Chernokamensk for the active suspension. Once it can lift it's massive chin out of the dirt it will be capable to complete the challenge. ZikZ 612H and Azov Atom seem like boring, pay 2 win, cheat options. Yes both will complete the challenge easily.

i was thinking of having all upgrades available, but i suppose if you want an extra challenge you could not. the azov atom actually can't do the challenge as it doesn't get the seismic vibrator module or long logs

Me personally a single mod truck is what I would use as the original game trucks are insufferable. Furthermore, it doesn't have to be an insanely broken mod truck, it just has to be a vehicle that doesn't suffer from the poor tyre selection that this game has. However, if I was to burden myself with using a original game truck I would probably use a Tayga 6455B. It has less torque across all of its engines compared to the Mack Defense M917, but the slightly shorter frame rails help when turning with large trailers.

i have no idea if you take requests for challanges but if you do and if you have the Mad Max game from 2015 then could you try to beat the whole game without upgrading your car, using upgrades (unless forced by fabulary mission like the harpoon) and upgrading max (the skills and gear) nobody else tried this challange yet, and i know because i was searching for it on yt for a long time now

Considering you get the tayga 6436 on lvl1 on base game is making the 6438 top 1 instantly. 6455B and mack defense are both in dlc's which some player don't have and the truck are locked behind missions or around the map. I am pretty sure the mack defense front axel has collision and has trouble in rocks (at least on it's release, idk about now) For me the best truck will always be 6436, i have the feeling that they nerfed it tho, like very early in the game i felt like it was even more unstopable than it is now great videoo nontheless, i didn't think that many truck could do the one man army challenge

the mack's axle collision problem got fixed, and i was ignoring normal truck restrictions as that would rule out all mission and level-locked trucks
