Can you beat Sonic 3 & Knuckles without the SPINDASH?!

People say that Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles was built with the spindash in mind. I wanted to put that idea to the test. What I found surprised me.

It's Hydro City in Generations because they remembered to add the space. It's Hydrocity in 3 and Mania because there's no space. If you want to be correct, spell it correct.

Yeah? Sonic 3 air has a drop dash too and it should count as a spindash its similar in fashion and it kinda ruins the whole point of the challenge

Here is my question then... Is it possible to get any of knuckles boss areas with Sonic/Tails or Tails alone, and can knuckles get to any of Sonic boss areas in Sonic 3 and Knuckles? (WITHOUT Debug mode)

@elliec2943 it is possible to get knuckles to some of sonic/tails' boss arenas, but it's impossible to get sonic/tails to any of knuckles' boss arenas.

@@coolersonicshow Ah, that's where you are wrong. You see, S3 AIR actually has an achievement for doing this. Specifically, in Ice Cap Zone Act 1. "Once See the Sunrise" requires you to beat the Ice Cap miniboss in Sonic's arena of the act as Knuckles. It does warn you that you will need a buddy, but it supplies you with that by giving you the ability to play as Knuckles and Tails after getting enough achievements.

And to complete the answer, the ways to get Knuckles into Sonic's areas tend to be easier (sometimes may be tricky though), but it's still not impossible to do the other way around, though the ways to do that usually involve glitches. It's also very common that you can glitch into other character's area, but cannot progress to the end.
