There's a damn good reason the Decayed Master Sword is the worst weapon. It's rotten, it's fragile and it's titchy. You're not meant to use it anywhere other than GSI.

A few months after the game released, I theorized with someone who is now my friend how to beat Ganondorf using only the decayed master sword (DMS), after he had used it seperately. That video he made uses glitches to improve the decayed master sword to only defeat the Demon King but, in theory, today it is possible to beat Tears of the Kingdom (On release 1.0.0) using only the Decayed Master Sword without any mods.

Don't think so. There's no way to get the decayed master sword off of GSI since you send it back in time to Zelda.

@@JustinBae There are at least two main glitches that would let you complete this run without mods. You would need a hard save inside the Room of Awakening (before getting Decayed Master Sword). -You would then have to progress a bit, up to where you can *Zuggle* a wooden weapon, light it on fire, load the hard save, and burn the vines with it. You’re able to move forward while leaving DMS behind. It doesn’t disappear once you finish GSI, so you’re free to pick it up whenever you want. -There’s also a variation of the *Weapon Stat Transfer* glitch that lets you add stats and even “fuse” items to DMS. This lets you deal far more damage with it and make it longer lasting. Fusing materials means the sword gets a +25 durability bonus, which can go up to +35 if you transfer the stat from a Durability Up +10 weapon. These are only two suggestions but really there are more ways to accomplish the same goal. This run is 100% doable without mods.
