I think for this run since it was only my 2nd playthrough, a lot of my pain was from not knowing how to fight the bosses (queen gibdo and dazzlefruit smh)

Great video! I think using a dragon parts instead of sapphire/topaz would have been better since they trigger while attacking with the shield.

If you check the VOD (I left out this part from the video), I actually tried that out with a ice lizalfos horn and honestly I preferred the sapphire since I can consistently be defended and ice them. Also thanks for watching!

Why did you wait for block/parry to proc the freeze effect? You can just smack them with your shield like you were with the White Lynel horn for dps.. Love the various challenge runs, btw. Having a blast watching them all!

5:26 did you know you could parry the lynels fireballs? I learned that a few weeks ago and i don't try to run anymore, it's much more reliable when you have the timing down

I think you were being too restrictive on yourself. Even Naofumi from Rising of the Shield Hero stocked up on items and relied on a team. I would have gone for more hearts, farmed anti gloom stuff and have the sages. But good run! It inspires me to try this out too

A good idea would have been to fuse the gloom clubs from defeated phantom ganons to your shields, since the are 50 dmg instead of 44 from the lynel horn, though it might have to happen mid fight so that might be hard

It has 800 durability so it lasts for a super long time. Ganons gloom projectiles do a TON of durability dmg tho and destroy any shield in it's path basically

Those Ganon projectiles are coded to instantly bring your shield to 1 hit left no matter how much durability it has
