this seems like an unfathomable amount of work. I'll start with thanking you for the detailed and rich music choice, I fell in love with "Plok! - Beach" and it was a pleasant surprise finding "Daytona" right after it, since it got etched into my mind during a LobosJr dark souls run :) it also made your choice to tribute the Ivory King bossfight with its own original soundtrack stand out. I found interesting how DS2 feels "easiest" (at least, played by you) as far as +0 weapon damage goes, and I took notice of the love for the game you show, among other things, by how well you know the bosses. I appreciated when you showed "regular" level design besides bossfights, and I wish you showed more of that during DS3 section that said, chapeau!

Yeah, the use of the Ivory King theme really stood out to me, especially because when I fought that boss, I was in a call with friends so I didn’t really hear the music at the time. Blew me away with how cool it sounds. I also very much appreciated the DS2 love and knowledge even though it’s his least-played Dark Souls, I’m used to challenge runners complaining frequently whenever they play DS2.

Belfry gargoyles actually join based on HP thresholds for the boss bar so if you spread the damage, more are likely to join at a time. You can also have them join quicker if you hit them.

This was a wonderful mix of wacky and really challenging idea, and (perhaps aside from the lack of weapon upgrades) was fun to watch! I might try this someday, maybe with spells :3 Also that’s really cool you love Velstadt so much! My favorite DS2 boss is probably the Ivory King, which I really appreciate you using his theme when fighting him, made his fight stand out more.

Nice idea m8 One thing: Weapons in Dark Souls 2 have proper sweetspots for their damage. The reason the Halberd was doing so little damage against Prowling Magus and The Congregation was because you were so close to them that you were hitting them with the shaft of the weapon rather than the blade, which deals about 1/3 of the damage it should actually be dealing. Other than that, cool video, hopefully gonna see more of this channel in the future. Btw is that Morse code written correctly? I'm probably looking at it wrong, but if not, then that URL is leading me nowhere

Gargs in Ds two isn’t time based, it’s damage based much like the first game. So the quicker you damage one garg the quicker the next spawns in. Having more at lower health increases the amount of them enter the fight.

depends on how you'd wanna do it. personally id do like once you've used it you can use it but once you set the bonfire to a different one you cant use that one again

Great content! Just nitpicking here though, but to stay true to Nuzlocke rules, I would ban healing during boss fights but allow some upgrades, maybe to a predetermined limit before each boss. It’s definitely tougher, but Nuzlockes are supposed to be.

Because if you're able to get a weapon to +10, it becomes a good weapon. I wanted an actual challenge, so i disabled it. If you're looking for power scaling, you could consider equipping rings or armor something similar.

@@YourAverageSpelunkernuzlocks use good Pokémon as well as bad, and have leveling up and TMs use incorporated into the ruleset. No upgrade runs can be interesting but they are not analogous to a nuzlock, and made for a more boring video.

Great job! Now I just wonder what happened with the Stray Demon in DS1. I thought you'd say you tried it and skipped it halfway to preserve your weapons, but it's not in the list at the end. Anyway, I have to work on my skills to beat three DS with un-upgraded weapons in just 26 deaths. Keep up the good work!

I think you should be able to upgrade your weapons, maybe to half or something? A plus 0 weapon is pretty terrible in late game dlcs Also, if you outlaw infinite upgrade materials and farming, it makes a loss really set you back, as the materials are scarce

Why not using the great schyte, the dark club from anor londo basement and shopping weapons? As long as a weapon is bought one time is like finding it on the ground. Dagger or bandit knife with a resin is great against 4 kings for example Also i think dlc final bosses should be included as goals

@YourAverageSpelunker i had to stop at dark souls 2 for now. Point is: great schyte is much stronger in ds1 than in the following games and would have shred the demons weak to bleed even at +0, and the club in anor londo is already upgraded, so a great weapon in a not using titanites rule.

A pure weapon nuzlocke should actually be pretty easy if you are allowed to use sorceries. Magic weapon, greater magic weapon and so on, make your weapon itself mostly irrelevant.

This sounds a little to easy. I mean just looking at the rule set my mind says: grab the black knight halberd and finish DS1 with ez. DS2 can be easy with any great hammer (just pancake everything). DS3 is pretty balanced i can't think of an op weapon that you get early except the uchigatana and from there on i will see how it goes. Am i missing something here?
