3:34 I mean... if the trees are too densely packed than, yeah, the trees will damage each other by the virtue of not having enough resources in the soil and competing for the space to get most sunlight... at least I assume

6 minutes into vid and IMO you could also use shortbow boughtable from a dead merchant as a faster turn-around tool

It would be cool to actually change the boss stats when it replaces certain bosses, to get like fire dmg or some random skills like the rings of gael xD

For weapon upgrades, i think upgrading up to the highest usable tier you can find in a currently accessible area is fair. Can only find a large? Cant use chunks to upgrade till you find those in an area, yeah you can get that stuff alot earlier in DS1 but still at the risk of losing your current weapon.

He's big but not that aggressive. I've seen this type of challenge runs done in ds1. You should do another run with dancer next time. Would be fun to watch! ☺️

iiiiiii i am impressed. i am stoned af so it'shard to form my thoughts. this was entertaining to watch. as a bit of a challenge runner myself i wouldn't attempt it, so it's better to watch it here. these runs are soo chill. it took me so long to write this comment cus i kept forgetting what i ws about to say

The graveyard thing has some interesting implications for both the game and randomizer. My guess is that the respawning enemies in the graveyard are actually the same ones you killed, just restored to full health. And the reason regular enemy bubbles don't break is just a matter of scaling. The randomizer scales the enemy's HP, but not the bubbles', meaning the normal enemies' bubbles have more HP than the enemies themselves. The thing is, the respawning doesn't reset the bubbles' health or phase status. As a result, over the course of several lifetimes, the bubbles can actually take enough damage to break. Pretty cool.
@YourAverageSpelunker18 сағат бұрын
thats just not how the randomizer works, the health doesnt scale at all

@@YourAverageSpelunker Ah. Hm. I see why you called it weirdness. Don't know enough about the inner workings of DS3 to make a better guess than that.

2:01 ngl i thought that this run was downscaled because random hollow got hated by the gravity itself and sent into unknown direction only to understand after 4 repeats that it is A DAMN HAND

This was a crazy run to see, great video from an underrated channel. Also, not that it's terribly relevant post-run, but pestilent mist can hurt the tree without hitting any of the weak points and may have made clearing out some of the more dense areas easier

Actually, from what I remember, the zombies in the cathedral graveyard are not infinitely respawning. They just respawn a few hundred times. I believe there's a 'how long can bosses survive in the cathedral graveyard' video and Yhorm actually cleared them out.
@jonathanclarkson737918 сағат бұрын
The best part is if you snipe them from range and kill all the zombies in the courtyard before aggro-ing the Greatwood, they dont respawn

Technically the answer is yes, as long as you don't count the ladders. The one time you DID move (jumping to return to the Undead Asylum), isn't necessary because neither that place nor the Painted World of Ariamis are required to complete it. The only real benefit to the run is the titanite slab, which could be gotten elsewhere, probably just not as easily or quicker.

Can it be beat at NG+7? Well, I saw skumnut beat Elden Ring at NG+1000 (with no ceiling on enemy HP and attack damge). So yeah, I'm fairly certain you can.

DS1 isn't hard, the difficulty is just right. Which is why it's the best Dark Souls in the series, no BS every challenge and difficulty spike is fair.

@YourAverageSpelunker You're talking about yourself? DS1 has the best design, period, as a game.
@YourAverageSpelunker2 күн бұрын
no, im talking about you. if you say it has no bs, you're forgetting the second half of the game lol
@Carpatouille2 күн бұрын
@YourAverageSpelunker Bed of Chaos was bullshit, the rest is fine considering when it was made. There's a lot more freedom and a better pace to the game than other Souls. There's no excuse for DS3 to include so much unseen BS that you are required to die first to beat, DS1 it's a lot less the case if you get good at dodging. DS2 I'm not even going to talk about because of how trash it is, from the menu, to the cringe dialogues, to the horrible ps1 graphics and gameplay. The only things DS1 don't have, is the more fluid gameplay of the Souls games from DS3 to onwards, and the better graphics. What I'm trying to say is that the game has a fair difficulty, I've discovered the Souls games last year, played them all back to back and the only game I really had a lot of fun playing was DS1.
