Neato web site. I need that tent. For a 9 year old Eureka tent, it's held up great but that Snugle bug is tiny😍 Smaller or smarter pots are needed too. It's looking like this year is a write off too, but a couple camo tarps will come in handy. Hide in plain sight😎

I like your videos so much, I even watched this one and I don’t camp. Don’t get me wrong, I like the *idea* of camping, I just don’t like actual camping, including losing an hour in the morning and afternoon. At the end of a long day I love a warm soft bed, and a sandwich and cold beer at the bar next door. To each our own.

FYI...I have both the Snugpak Ionosphere and Scorpion II tents. Packed down the Scorpion II is not much larger...Setup the Scorpion is much larger and more comfortable. I also use Snugpak sleeping bags and found the Basecamp 32 degree and Jungle bag combo good for our colder months here in the PNW. In snowy conditions I use a Snugpak Elite 5 (5 Degree bag)...Might also recommended a Hammock setup if space or weight is an issue. Also a good tarp is helpful with our weather...

In your "new person with no gear & $500 budget scenario", I would get a cheaper 2-person tent, an LED headlamp, take silverware from home, 2 cans of fuel for the stove, folding camp saw, plastic to put under tent, dry bag (which you already have), and ....can of Yard Guard insect repellent. 😁

@@davidhanger5795 Per Snugpak and their "testing" 19F is where their test subjects were warm and comfortable. 14F is the low limit where their subjects began to feel cold. As we all do more tests we will report back the accuracy. So far 30F was really warm.

Lots of other options out there for sure. I'm a side sleeper so I need a thicker mat if I can find one. The snugpak is about the same price as the other quality options I've tried, and it comes with the built in pump, which is kinda unique. I envy people that can get by with thinner pads.

I know this comment is coming 8 months later, but Depending on what bike you have dirtracks has some great deals on pannier racks for hard or soft.
