My 1990 Dr350 is an amazing machine. I outrun 250 2 strokes of that year and this bike goes anywhere man. That 250 is a little sluggish but still sweet

Absolutely a 1000 bucks is a decent budget for a dirt bike, the key if you have to be patient, finding someone who's selling a bike they don't need not one that's broke and abused, I fot the best bike I've ever had for 1000 a kx 125 and is still my current bike, of coarse the bike needed a bunch of maintaining but doing it all myself except the suspension rebuild saved a lot of money and gave me a great and reliable bike for a fraction of the price of new.

Damn. I like the analogy you do. And you're so right about getting a used bike. I myself got XT600 - same one you show in the shop. With emission laws they used to be $1000 but are now more $2000 in Europe as you can not find a big thumper like that. But it's still a really fun bike for first 2 years restricted power period (it has the exact maximum power to weight ration - everyone in my EU country has to go through that, no matter experience or how old you are). I was looking for a DR350 at first but they're basically unfindable or overprice. I wish I could have found one. It's much more able on trails that the heavier XT600.
