Great video, breaker bar and driver works. I use an air wrench, trolley jack, stands but air wrench can break down. So, got a used inpact wrench as a back up - handy for many jobs! Have a breaker bar, so this could be emergency tools with car jack., allen key idea is great too! Thanks 😊

You're absolutely right. If you have an impact "wrench" it can do the whole job by itself. But if all you have is an impact "driver" I would use it with a breaker bar speed along the process

Basically answers my question and dont need to get an impact wrench! Thanks for the video ✌️

Using a proper floor jack decreased the time it takes me to change my 8 tires dramatically. I highly recommend it. Not sure if you have a Harbor Freight equivalent there, but I only paid $100 or so for a good jack. That hex key was a great idea though

Yes, for sure. I had a floor jack but I broke it last year somehow. It was the Scandinavian equivalent of Harbor Freight :)

You have saved my life beyond belief! My absent mind for some reason thought I had an impact gun forgetting completely that it is an impact driver but with my breaker bar and torque wrench I can do everything that you magically have showed me Wendy's and that allen wrench and drill tip together literally saved my life because I was not trying to spend forever trying to jack up all four wheels of this car at a time when I have to change brakes and bleed oil -till I can pry a garage Jack add an impact gun🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thank YOOOOOOOU!!!

When you brought out 8 tires for what I thought was a single car, I started chuckling at the subtle joke. Alas, two cars. No joke, just more work :)

Haha! Yes, sorry, no joke this time, just more work ;)

Breaker bar to loosen the lugs nuts only 3 secs and you dont even need to apply too much force man. Then use the impact driver to quickly remove the lugs nuts. That simple and cheaper way than buying an impact wrench. Impact driver very versatile tool. Drill, screws compare to an impact wrench.

Not all impact drivers are made equal, you have brushed or brushless. Also some are 1100 in/lbs some others like the Cat one are 1900 in/lbs (158 ft/lbs). I can easily unscrew the bolts on my Kia forte mags (75 ft/lbs) with my Cat brushless impact driver all day. Use quality hex-1/2 adapter and impact sockets and you should be good for your seasonal tire change. For more robust or professional use, a dedicated impact wrench is the way to go.

110-140nm on the bolts, not full bodyweight on a extenderarm

Good to know, thanks!

bro overtightened the piss out of those bolts. Torque your bolts to spec using a torque wrench! NEVER use an impact driver or a wrench to put them back on unless you have a torque stick, and always hand tighten them with a torque wrench! If you overtighten like this there is a high chance you will significantly damage and or break the bolts!
@R.Stridstrom Жыл бұрын
Yeah, we usually overtighten. A torque staff/stick (as we call them here) are a great idea. But if you use that, you could tighten with just that driver. And take them off. A bigger mid-torque impact could be a great thing to have, but with these new little monsters they are not mandatory for regular switching of your car anymore. Great times.

You need something like the DeWalt DCF899 for that
