I believe I was born this way, since I remember admiring guys bodies even before I knew what I was at a young age. Didn't have my first experience till around 17 years old and that was because the other guy came onto me during a sleepover. It just seemed natural.

This incarnation has been one wild and crazy adventure. I make the joke that in the delivery room, when my pediatrician slapped me on my behind, I was off to the races... Harder, Daddy! Seriously, there was never an overt choice for me. The option of being straight wasn't on the checklist. I knew what I liked, and my path was definitely flowing against the grain. My life's experience has been one, great big, action packed blessing, mainly because I see life from a totally different perspective, one that's been unencumbered with a female companion and my own children. It's my opinion that as a group of people, we are overtly underutilized. We bring gifts to the table that if channeled correctly can change the world for the better.

@MarkovianMan4 ай бұрын
Point well taken. But apparently it's now possible to permanently change one's eye color with the keratopigmentation procedure. 😳 Although technically speaking, it's a pigment that is injected into the cornea (located in front of the iris) that masks one's natural eye color, so in a way, it's only putting the person's natural eye color permanently "in the closet."

I realized I was attracted to guys when I was 14, I just didn't know the word for it. As a kid, I thought I would have a wife, but I thought it was like a friendship as I didn't know how kids were made. I thought all guys had the same feelings as me. Hey Jaks! I think this was an interesting analysis. Sometimes it's worth taking a step back with these arguments and going "why are we even debating this?" -- like you said, it's not a choice, but would it really matter if it *were* a choice? I like that you came at it from a different angle. Looking forward to your masc4masc video. It's a hot topic and something I'm planning to make a video on as well (eventually).

He's right. I embraced nondiscrimination against LGBTQ people long before I became self-aware of my own gayness. I even married two women first. Kinsey is right about sexual orientation being a spectrum, so most people have some same sex attractions. However to the extent there is a choice, sexual orientation should be treated like religious belief: A choice every adult should be free to make. 🌈

Orientation is not chosen, only behaviors/actions are. Many if not most gays & lesbians have had heterosexual sex (many resulting in children), that didn't make their *orientation* heterosexual. A surprising number of heterosexual men have had encounters with men of varying degrees, that doesn't necessarily make their *orientation* homosexual (or even bisexual).

Come for me if you want, but homosexual tendencies (not gayness, which is being proudly homosexual, there's a difference) are intense and tempting beyond belief and are also not anyone's destiny if they choose to pursue a heterosexual relationship instead. And I say this as an asexual, straight, Christian guy who struggles a bit with homosexual tendencies myself, so you now know who's won this argument if you insult me for any reason. And if I'm not mistaken, same-sex attraction often happens because of emotional needs that were unmet as a child (or some other psychological reason). To learn more, read A Young Man's Journey by Floyd Godfrey chapters 1-4 AT LEAST if you don't want to read the whole thing. And same-sex attraction is just one response to those unmet needs (which quite frankly happens all the time within families). Another example could be turning to drugs or alcohol. Finally, if you're too offended to either take what I commented respectfully or flat-out deny my claim without looking into it yourself, just know you're the one with a problem, not me.
@MrOmgenius2 ай бұрын
There are people who are exclusively homosexual, with no heterosexual tendencies whatsoever. Therefore, it doesn’t make sense for people to think it’s a choice or preference when there is only one type of attraction. Also, even if someone is bi, they don’t/can’t choose the sex/gender of the individual they happen to fall in love with. Of course people are going to have unmet needs if they are not with the person they want to be with and instead force themselves to be with someone they aren’t attracted to.
